They certainly have made a good deal and have a strong argument on their side: millions of components ordered.
But people always come with the R&D thing. Do other brands don't have R&D and develop their own stuff too? Baby c'mon...
In every iphoneX sold, Apple is gonna make 500-600 dollars of CLEAN profit, after taxes (taxes that they evade paying btw, sending their money to offshores etc). That's why they always have incredible profits of millions every quarter, baby...

Look a... morewhy not sell , when they can at high price ? it's not a phone for everyone , maybe they do not want to make X as their most sell . make X more luxury /\ and its display is expensive . and no income for repairing of lots Touch ID . It could make a difference if the price is based on one part purchase or one batch of the same part purchased. Supposedly buying multi same part would cost lower as their manufacture process(es) would be lower, unless I am wrong.

All of that marketing, R&D, factory assembling, labour cost very low when made in China. And I am pretty sure iphone is assembled in China. Apple is already ever so popular. Why is there a need for marketing. I bet they still can sell without the marketing or at least half of what they doing now. Apple users bragging with confidence their beloved iphone will sell more than android phone. Brand loyalty is very strong. As for R&D, well, that iphone X does seem to used up a lot of the budget. But i doubt iphone 8 duos even touch much of the R&D budget.

It's ba... moreThen comparatively and considering the cost of hardware production you would be selling each copy of Windows for 959 $ including the taxes .... so imagine ... by the way Windows also includes support. That's not a profit margin, that's practically double the value of the product by the face. I think it is not even worth commenting the plunder of money that represents unjustifiably from my point of view. But hey, there are people who sells a kidney due to show the bite apple ....

unless some oem introduce hologram or something on smartphone, all we can get this year is improvement from past years tech.
improvement is always good. but if ppl keep complaining about no new features etc, this is their chance to build something and steal the market

AnonD-444587, 15 Sep 2017Oneplus 5, Honor 9 and Xiaomi Mi 6. very low price. OnePlus 5 is not cheap. Xiaomi mi 6 is not usable in the whole world. Honor 9 has a crappy UI nobody really wants to use. How about Galaxy S8? It costs € 500, cheaper than the OnePlus 5 while having a much better camera and screen and you can still brag with the Samsung logo. I'm an iPhone user but very liberal and that's just how it is. OnePlus 5 is overpriced for its reputation and for what it does. For tech semi-experts, it is really great, but they were going down since the OnePlus One with a peak at the OnePlus 3 but since then, they gone down the road while upping the prices.
