That is very high. 412$ is a lot more than devices like the 7 and 7 Plus. No wonder Apple is pricing this so high. I still think the 999$ model should've been 128GB and then the 1,149$ blasphemy of a price should be 512GB.

Well each people have their own preference when it comes to mobile phones. Yes the price is too much but there are people who can afford. It's not the money that count's it's the experience. After all it's not our money to burn. So let them be. Let them buy what they want for they can afford it and happy to have it.

Per UNIT. And that makes a HUGE difference because Apple isn't buying components per unit baby...Apple buys per millions of units, hence the price will be lower than that unitary price baby...
OLED panel will be probably 50-55, NAND will be 30, RAM 17-18 and so on. Probably the cost of production will be around 250-270 dollars or so. And they charge you 1000 bucks in USA but 1200-1300 euro (1400-1500 dollars) in Europe hahaha big profit margins baby!!!!

About quality though. If u feel Samsung or Apple has the best quality and you want the best. You have to consider two things.
1) The price
2)update and after sale services
In which case my device is to buy an IPhone X (Not the Note 8), but one year after the SHEEPS have move to the next best thing ever.

Sad...top price range should be $500--$800 max."
You really have no idea how to run business? You know there's lot of people who need to get paid. Chinese devices can be that cheap because they don't have big business to run and also why you think those companies don't go worlwide? Because they don't have money to do that, also they would need to pay license feeds, which would raise product cost.
These chinese companies are very big threat for those big Android companies because they can't compete with price. They can't sell as low price as those chinese companies.
