Their build quality their durability their stable well optimised smooth UI all are excellent. I'm going to buy one of the Sony flagships coming next year. Still using my Z3 and it is three years old and works brilliantly. Go for Sony man. Right choice.

That, is rather the biggest nonsense!!! Google cares about Android OEMs. Whose benefit is it, when Android stays stronger and entrenched? How is Android staying and going to stay relevant without it’s OEMs?

Hmm... pretty sad to see HTC like this.. still IMO most underrated company. Design and manufacturing capabilities from HTC are truly inspiring. The company which gave Android a design language since the One M7. Hell, even Apple praised HTC for their designs..

U11 is great in electronic components but fragile in construction or structure which made that a lot of posible buyers look at other brands. Although evidently they were already dragging ballast due to less successful early models.
In other hand, this agreetment sure that is succefull for HTC and Google. And sure that there are unpublished details like have the guarantie of continue as an OEM for Google in at least some of the next Pixels.

That is perhaps the worst deal in the history of all deals. You're paying for the employees who didn't manage to jump ship to other Chinese companies, and perhaps the worst management out of any phone makers out there, great job.

HTC on other hand have advantage that Google will use their manufacturing for it's Pixel devices, so they won't lock the doors.

Google will make himself, or many partners at time.
But to do this , Google needed its own team to design Pixels. They decided to get the people , they already knew. These people were employed by HTC, so Google paid $ 1 bln to HTC , so these people could break contract as well as non-compete agreements (since Google will become competitor of HTC) and join Google.
End of story.

Worst news ever. I was really looking forward to the day that I'll hear HTC's bankruptcy, but here they are raising a billion. I know they havesuccessful products like Vive and U11 but have you ever tried products like One V and Desire 320?!! They're awful i mean terrible. The extreme software bugs and sluggishness and even worst, no software updates and support whatsoever has made about 3 years of horrible experience for me. HTC made money selling extremely annoying garbage with bad hardware to the less fortunate without any support and backup and updates (literally none) and now they're actually making success, like i said worst tech news everrrr! Fingers crossed I'll still be waiting for the day they announce bankruptcy.

Just like Apple doesn't care about it's customers they just want their money and in return, give them a phone.
