Is there a way to copy the entire thread of comments here? Because it seems that with every news update, everyone repeats the 'my phone's great, your phone's sh*t' argument yet again.
I don't mind to volunteer, and cut paste this entire thread of comments on every news article, so people don't need to type anymore lol.

1)Pinch zoom, double tap zoom- implemented by apple on iPhone. Apple still has d patent. Y used in android which launched later? Copying? Coz its cool!! Obviously it is.
2)D ipod CoverFlow(Album view in landscape mode of ipod) been used in android OS music players too? y? same reason.
3)iPhone-multi-touch interface. Android-Copy cat??
4)1st mobile OS to have online app store was iOS. Y did google open own andriod app store? Again copyin?
No OS is perfect. I don't hate android. Its about PREFERENCE. Peace.

Apple actually hired a developer, Peter Hajas, from the jailbreak community for work on the notification system.

[deleted post]Drashkum, it's probably not revolutionary as ios which revolutionized the smartphone industry. However it is revolutionary for iDevices, as it changes a few key things. Now iPhone will be fully independent, with wireless syncing and OTA updates. This is a big deal for customers who get confused with settin up etc, not for you and me, who are comfy with tech.
I think a lot of people also overlooked AirPlay video mirroring for iPad 2, which in my opinion will bring new possibilities for the gaming industry. Come home, switch on your iPad and continue your game on your 50 inch TV. no wires no fuss. It will transform the iPad (and iPhone later hopefully) into both a handheld and home console.

This is an update which solidifies the iOS. There are many many little things which address a lot of complaints. For example, did anyone notice that now iOS devices will be independent and not rely on a PC anymore?
Using volume button to take a photo. Is that revolutionary? No. But again, it is something that brings iOS in line with the competition.
iOS5 does not bring with it any one particularly revolutionary feature, but it brings so many little improvements, that add up to a great new experience.
Ps: I notice a slight negative slant on GSMArena's headlines these days with Apple related products. What's up?

I agree ioS 1 was a revolutionary product. it had a accelerometer when no phones ahd it. it had a intuitive capacitative touch when no phones had the same sensitivity. it had multi gesture when no phones had it. it had app store when no phones had it. it had lots of other things new which other phones never dreamed of at that point of time.
in Ios5 whats new? whats revolutionary
