Zenodroid, 20 Oct 2017You said you had proof with the actual mate 9 pro and 10 pr... moreLet's see your real proof that the sensors are different in the M9/10 then, seeing that you have such a big mouth? Oh wait you can't, cause you only have one source (which I changed, and that is devicespecifications.com) So, posting any information from that site here is not enough proof, try again.

shanto, 20 Oct 2017Hi Has anybody seen that Mate 10 pro has scored 97 ins DXO... moreNice one :-) just below pixel :-) I can't wait to get it :-) and the camera will be fixed through update, so it will prove to be an update to the 9 pro ;-) every phone is born with baby failures :-)

Anonymous, 20 Oct 2017Here you go, use your brain for once : https://www.anandtec... moreYou said you had proof with the actual mate 9 pro and 10 pro camera sensor. I know there is old mate 9 reviews there. Unless you have the technical sheet with both 9 pro and 10 pro camera information, you still haven't proven anything. Sorry m8. Real proof or I'm still not convinced about your sources.

And no, the info will remain the same as I updated on devicespecifications.com because I provided them reliable sources.
You on the other hand, have provided no proof, other than the wrong info that was posted on ds.com. Care to share any other sources of info to show that the Mate9 uses an IMX260 sensor? (as originally specified on that site, which was of course incorrect). You will have need proof that goes in the face of both GSMArena and AnandTech. Good luck.

I cant really understand why everybody here claims that the Mate 9 photos are better. If I compare them all the Mate 9 photos look like I have taken my classes off. I cant see how you can "oversharpen" things. I want my photos sharp with more details.

About the low light examples: Some are indeed better on the Mate 9, but this depends how much you shake your phone with higher ISO values so I guess it was just bad luck.

Well, I told you I will have devicespecifications.com change the Mate9 camera specs according to my recommendations. My sources that I sent to them were GSMArena, AnandTech and DPReview, all reputable I'd say. You will have to go find the articles yourself on those sites.
Anyway, here are the links to the updated specs as per devicespecification.com :
                    Mate 9:
                    https://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/810b3f6a
                    Mate 9Pro:
                    https://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/ba0a3f92

Yip, so now it's a BSI sensor, the Sony Exmor IMX286, both the same in the Mate9 and 10.

                    Done

You must be blind. Mate 9 shoot are lot better. If you want, you can use strong unsharp mask filter to get photos that look like form mate 10.

I sent them the sources so they can make the changes to the specs accordingly. You don't even want to download the full size samples on the Mate 9 IN THIS ARTICLE to check the resolution. Besides, GSMA already stated it's the same sensor, so that is that.

That oversharpening is just terrible. I much preferred the softer images from the Mate 9 every time. Try sharpening those, and you may end up concluding that, after all, there ins't more detail in the 10 Pro images.
