Nothing wrong with the sd625, great efficient processor. Finally not fixing the back button at the right hand side for the redmi phone. I want the redmi5 not note instead if small bezel, the smaller the better.

If Xiaomi dare to use SD636 or SD660 on this RN5, they will have big succeed like when they were launching RN3 and RN4 in its time.

So best case scenario,
Redmi Note 5a (SD425), Redmi Note 5 (SD625), Redmi Note 5 Pro/Prime (SD630) ?
They kept SD660 for Mi series like MiNote?
The trend wasn't good, hopefully they won't become another Asus who goes Samsung on its price.

So its practically a redmi note 4 with a new display. Just like oneplus 5 and 5t.
I expected atleast Snapdragon 630 in redmi note 5.
Sd625 is not a bad processor either and offers enough performance for your day to day usage.

I've had the Redmi Note 3 Global Variant which had the Snapdragon 650 SoC. Performance wise, it's slightly better than Snapdragon 625 but not as power efficient because of old 28nm fabrication. Redmi Note series after the Redmi Note 3 has only been downgrading in terms of processing power.. The Redmi Note 5 deserves a chipset upgrade to Snapdragon 660 rather than using the same Snapdragon 625 from its predecessor.

wqcr, 21 Nov 2017Can you name what's wrong with SD625? Practically speaking..Repeating the same processor for 2 generations is not enough? After DOWNGRADING the previous one even more?
Seems that Xiaomi lost their north on the Redmi series..

Snapdragon 660 and android Oreo and It would of been worthy upgrade but not this. Maybe if they finally add NFC into a redmi note it could be good

bharcooldude, 21 Nov 2017It is underpowered compared to even Redmi Note 3 with SD650... moreIndeed, it exist as the Snapdragon 636.
I will wait for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Plus with Snapdragon 636.
Seems that the rebrand is strong on this one.
Xiaomi just decided to screw with their customers hard. It won't be that successful as expected.

Bailey, 21 Nov 2017When they put a 835 chipset in the handset what are they ge... moreThe Mi Note 3 is priced like the Mi6. So they could have put the SD 835 . The Mi Note 3 is supposed to be bigger Mi 6. But now it is in a odd position. And Xiaomi don't have to be a charity but they also don't have to be hungry cash grabber. The reason people get excited about Xiaomi is because they give value for money.

Quite disappointed but it will depend on the price. The RN4 is still for sale at good prices.
