If they gave Nougat to their 2015 $250 devices, including a Snapdragon 410 tablet, they couldn't not give their flagship Oreo. Lets thank the Note 7 fiasco for pushing them to work on rebuilding brand loyalty

If they update their flagships with three major updates, then they should really push atleast two major updates for a ton of midranger's Samsung releases every year. It feels stupid to get only one major update when your device is more than capable of running a newer version. I own J7 2016 on Nougat and it is running without a problem. So yeah, I really doubt I will ever get Oreo, but if S6 receives it there might be a slight chance that we will get it.

Anonymous, 24 Nov 2017What about A5 2016I doubt cheap phones will get the support that flagships will get. Anyway that's something you should ping samsung reps.

WOW!!! 5.0.2 to 8.0
Also look at the gap between S5 and S6.
S5 is in 6.0 only and S6 is planned for 8.0
But S6 was a revolutionary phone to Samsung way of designing although it met a lot of problems at start. Since now S6 is confirmed then they are also trying to say that Note 5, All 2017 J7s, 2017 A3/5/7, C7 Pro 2017 will get Oreo too.

This is very good. But all the complain about bugs and all. Hmm. You guys are sure hard to satisfy. No update, complain. Update, also complain. And for the guy saying he would rather get the pixel, good luck with the numerous amount of issue it have. Dont believe me? Go ahead, type 'pixel' on gsmarena search bar for the news section. You will see what I mean.

And yet, one of the best devices Samsung has ever made; Note 4 is still stuck at 6.0. We all know it has more than enough power to run android 7 and 8 but samsung refuses to update it
