Nokia N9 to miss on some major markets

30 June, 2011
The Nokia N9 certainly made a great first impression and a lot of people are eager to get their hands on it. That's why Nokia put up a webpage, that should help you find out when the device becomes available in your...

AnonD-4697, 01 Jul 2011WP7 is the only chance Nokia have to survive, they have too... moreThis N9 will probablly be a succes story. It would be illogical from Nokia not to release this handset worldwide since the official announcement has generated so much interest! With proper development and support Meego can stand it's ground agains Android and apple(except in the US probably). It would be a huge mistake from Nokia's part to abandon this platform! Also Symbian has proved that it still has the capacity to to...if not reinvent itself...then surely substancially improve! Windows OS does not enjoy in eny part of the world a market share higher then 6-7%. This will never be a mainstream platform..just look at the relativelly modest selles numbers of the latest WP7 devices! Instead of focusing on developmend of Meego and Symbian, they are sidelining those platforms and giving them a secondary role...! A big mistake!

Not coming to Canada, eh. No big surprise there. Canada always gets the shaft when it comes to cellphones and cellular service.

Like literally this guy is killing Nokia. If Elop does try to destroy Meego if it's successful I think that he will be pressured from the people on top from the board members will pressure him to support the platform or they'll force him to resign or fire him.

Well my main concern is about Stephen Elop (CEO from Nokia) says....

Nokia has no plans for more MeeGo devices, even if the N9 does well we will not support this phone and stop all concern Meego OS.

So, this looks like a no future phone..And Meego don't even have the .5% of OS market chart. :(

India and Indonesia are Nokia's stronghold.
and both countries are not included on the list.
i guess, Nokia's CEO really wishes to fail the sale of N9...

Guys, don't beg Nokia to sell their products to us. They should be the ones begging us to buy their products. This is just too silly.

Maybe they can confirm Phillipines from last hour, on Nokias World page don't appear.

This will not be the first case someone announce a phone and then they just never release it on that place.

However I belive Phillipines is in the launch list...

Saddly on more competitive markets they will be not launch like USA and others...however you can buy it anyway :P

Phillipines and Egypt NOT those countries aren't on Nokias List, this will be a very limited device, however you can buy it from other countries and take it to your place.

Neither USA, Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America, Spain, England, Italy, France, Germany, Africa, India, Japan and many other....in thos countries will not be sold N9...This is confirmed on Nokias Blog sites.

There will be Unlocked versions, however the language pack maybe be different...

I was waiting for the device, sadly india is not mentioned. Maybe nokia wants their windows phone to dominate here.
                                    But still a bad move.
Even if both their products compete against each other nokia will make profit.
Or maybe trojan elop doesn't want his windows phone to flop against meego and hide his face in shame.
