I do fine with 32GB now. No SD card.
I think I'd be quite comfy with 64 in my next phone.
I certainly wont pay another hundred bucks to get 128GB just for the prestige factor.
If I was downloading TV episodes to watch on my commute then I might think differently, but I don't.

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2017You forgot my favorite. Home NAS. Unified storage for all y... moreI concur. NAS are awesome and simple to use. Chances are that your ISP provides you with a NAS-Ready modem (it has USB/SATA ports) and you can get huge USB3 or SATA 3 HDDs for a very low amount of cash. I have one at my home and it works so easily with all my devices. Your own personal server for almost nothing!

If a phone lacks SD card slot I'm NOT interested. Period.
64 + SD card (256GB) is perfect. Also the SD card HAS to be good, not a cheap one.

Anonymous, 03 Dec 201787% of users(12.03 16:45) have never known how good is remo... moreThe truth is that I prefer a one with removable storage as 64 GB +SD card or 128 GB + SD card. but since it wasn't in the options ,I (and I think many many others) chose over 32 GB because there is no with or without SD card

It is interesting that a device has a minimum of 64 GB of internal memory, since more and more there is improvement in the quality of photos and videos, which consume much memory of the smartphone. I had an unpleasant experience, had a Motorola Moto Maxx, which had 64GB of internal memory (actually 52.65) I sold this mobile phone and bought a Samsung S7 G930F, thinking that it also had 64 GB, to my disappointment, the manufacturer chose to market only the 32, and did not know it, when the mobile phone arrived, I set it up, there was written 32 GB and only 22.5 available to the user (even having slot for use of micro sd XC card, the reading speed is a bit slow). Result, I had to sell the hastily and buy an Asus ZE552KL, now this one, 4 GB of Ram, equal to S7, but 64 of Rom (52.75).

I'm probably the sneakiest miser you'll find here.
I have a 2-3 year old Redmi 2 Prime (16 GB internal) with a 128 GB memory card. Ya, its this serious!
I voted 128 GB, because phones are like mini computers. No point crippling them this way.
So, if I have to upgrade, I'll like a 32, 64,or 128 gb internal memory, but in any case with a micro sd card slot only.
Micro sd card slot because, I'll just slot it in the new phone, no waiting for hours over pc usb transfer... And it will help for the next upgrade too.

For me, 64GB is enough. For my wife 256 could be too low.

32gb for all low end phones,64 for mid-range and 128 for high end for 2017-18.
For the ultra light user even 8gb is enough but this is the user who only uses his phone for calls and photos.

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2017Well that's still a slow access to SD files and not "slow p... moreYou need first to own or at least try a Huawei P 10 with 128GB SD card in it!! Or you are still making 5MP photos and making only hd videos. SD card slow down whole phone ( read why apple dont want to use external memories) because try making 4k videos and using SD as default!!? Later editing is pain because all of that data transfer between HW so yes slowing down the phone. I can go on examples but hope you got my point
