Well well well... What heppened to display mate result?
Display Mate says samsungs always had best displays... All Samsung guys including GSMA defends Display mate still on this site.
Now Display Mate says Iphone has the best display and GSMA comes out with their own result? I thought Display Mate was the almighty Screen police. Whatever happened to "display mate is the most credible screen test company" Huh?

I know what phone that you're using right now, you should buy Z5 Premium and compare it with your sister's iPhone, and you'll be amazed how crappy Z5 Premium is. And XZ Premium is just slighty better than Z5 Premium.

XZ1's screen is nearly identical to the XZ Premium, just a 1080p but still high grade HDR display. Anyway, XZ Premium or XZ1, no OLED could even match them in terms of pure picture quality (how cool is it, the reds of the XZ Premium and XZ1 are even more vibrant than any other HDR OLEDs?)
Z5 Premium had a peak brightness of 800 nits, and that's all across the whole screen. In comparison, the Note 5 only had 800 nits on a single portion of the screen, while the rest are dimmer. And you aren't telling me you are serious. My friend has got the J3 2016 with OLED screen and its maximum brightness is a serious joke in the direct sunlight, neither do I believe the high end OLEDs from Samsung do any better.
You experienced using a Z5 Premium before? Lol I don't think so. Sorry, you ain't kidding anyone.

I have heard ppl say LCD is useless for VR because of refresh rate.
But some LCD have 120Hz, oled phones do not.

I'm talking about the XZ Premium and you've just answered it with XZ1, well done smart!
I ain't talking about YouTube videos but if you use Z5 Premium under sunlight, the Z5 Premium's screen feels like cheap low end smartphone and the XZ Premium feels like mid ranger (even Samsung's mid ranger phones can do better). i didn't lie but i'm talking about what i've experienced.

Sure, OLEDs beat them in blacks (because of no light being emitted at all) but whites is where they fall out shortly. Heck, even all other colors are still more energy-friendly on IPS LCDs than OLEDs.
In terms of efficiency:
Blacks - OLED
Whites/RGB - IPS LCD

Smartphones... moreOLEDs are incapable of reaching refresh rates higher than 60Hz. It pretty much explains why we still don't have high end gaming laptops with OLED screen.
And yep, the XZ Premium is actually capable of 120Hz refresh rate in 1080p. But then again people would love to ignore that because it is a Sony.

Color can be adjusted to accurate (XZ1's 1080p HDR screen almost has below 2 Average DeltaE).
Brightness is really bright, and I did not find any issues about it even in brightly lit areas, but I guess you're the type of person who wants a screen that would blind his own eyes.
Z5 Premium had one of the brightest peak brightness back in 2015 as Android Authority have said in their "Best of Android" 2015 series. XZ Premium improves upon it by making it 40% brighter.
If it's one of the worst, I wonder why it's considered to be among the top 10, heck even Erica Griffin, one of the most honest YouTube tech reviewer, confirms that her favorite screen of 2017 so far is the XZ Premium.

I'm interested in even brightness distribution. You might have a great screen in principle but if the quality control is off and some units have areas that are brighter or darker than others then it's a lemon.

For me best budget option with stock Android experience is Xiaomi Mi A1 which is much better than Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro.
