Sun, 09 Jul 2011Never heard of this site and since it's american it's credi... moreThese sites test a phone on the day it is coming out (or sometimes even earlier) and sometimes even work with pre-release units. This is not the unit that the end-user will find in the shop.
They test the phone on specs, on performance with its features (photo/video/calls/etc.etc.) but they CANNOT test it on durability, they CANNOT test it on flaws that only appear after prolonged use. And let me tell you a secret; these flaws exist in both the SGS and the SGS2 and have been put on the table numerous times, so I'm not going to repeat them.
Again; customer satisfaction does NOT reflect sales numbers. Another example: Apple is high on customer satisfaction, but are they the biggest? Nope. They provide a niche product in a fixed price range, which suits the customer in that price range. That is all it is.
People in a third world country will be the most happy consumers in the world with a three-year old laptop, while we would frown at it even if it was almost free. Does this make the company that produces laptops a great company? No. It just offers a great product for its targeted consumer group.
How many more examples of pure logic do you need before you start thinking about this in an objective manner?
And last but not least, I do *not* happen to be an Apple Iphone owner, in fact, I despise the company and its practices, and use an Android phone. So don't mistake me for a fanboy. I do, however, try to be as objective on here as I can be.

Besides it is not a profile site so the analisys that it conducts can not be compared with the reviews given by a profile site! Have you read the major profile sites and it's reviews of Galaxy 2? Gsmarena,Phone arena, mobilereview,engadget? Those sites all declare that Galaxy 2 is the best phone available at the moment!...but let's move away from profesional opinions and go to the street level....galaxy 2 has sold in just under 2 months 3.5 million units! Do you think that someone who doesn't trust Samsung and it's reputation will spend 600€ on a phone? And looks like SG2 selles numbers will surpass those of Galaxy 1!.......so now we have 15 milion Galaxyans in the world(declared) and who know knows how many Samsung users! So how the f... can you say that Samsung has a poor reputation when tens of millions of people if not more buy Samsung phones??? The prognoses show that Samsung is on the right path to become the number one manufacturer in the world! What's really annoying is that Apple fanboys cannot see the reality...they have been indoctritated with Jobs philosofy that even the most powerfull arguments have no effect on the...only the rotten apple is in their mind!

What is the basis of trust? It is not (necessarily) the customer experience. People move towards a brand/product because of *MARKETING* and marketing generates a *FEELING*. It is this feeling that forms the basis for people to buy a product. This is something entirely different than actual customer satisfaction. How else would you think new products like an Iphone, or HTC phones can grow into popular products in a short period of time? Do you really believe all these customers suddenly happen to be extremely satisfied with said company? Of course not.
The numbers have also been provided by a few fellow GSMarena readers. Thanks for that.

So how do you conclude that one part of the Iphone user base is objective and decently fair, while the other is unreasonable and brainwashed and even a social outcast? How do you select those people? I'm really curious.
Point is; don't bash the user, bash the device, and do so based on facts; such as no flash, Apple pushes the user into its own branded apps and other products, etc, and how if you want to bypass the restrictions, you have to void your warranty (essentially) by jailbreaking it. These are all valid arguments. But when you really pit an Iphone 4 against even recent phones, it is surprising to see how a device of more than a year old, with the current developments in phones, is still standing and works *just as smooth and fluid* as any other Android phone today; or better.
Most users seem to forget, by the way, that the biggest flaw of an Iphone is the unstable 2g/3g connection it sets up. The transmitter/receiver unit of the Iphone is really the poorest in the entire market of today. Which is appalling.

I would pick iPhone over galaxy s2 everyday, now i'm waiting new phone, i can buy galaxy s2 if i want, i tested it, it's way too big for me. Then what iv read from users it has many problems already, i know people's who got back to iPhone because iPhone WORKS!. Galaxy s2 is better in specs than iPhone 4 but it's full of bugs and problems so i don't want that, i want phone which works like iPhone. So i'm waiting iPhone 5. And i'm not interested those huge phones.
Best phone is what is best for yourself, and i know iPhone is for me.
