Even my old HTC Desire HD that i always kept full of games ( changing them every few weeks ) and using it a lots is still fine.
Your others hardware will die way before your onboard memory.

The V20 is a really interesting phone, the last top of the line with a removable battery I can think from a mainstream company.

Joseph, 11 Dec 2017Jesus, the article itself is ridiculous but comments make m... moreI think it's your comment that's as useless as it gets. Old cassette players had a motor directly driven by batteries, so as the battery charge dropped, so did the playback speed.
Just before CDs were phased in, Sony started to use a buck converter to drive a 1.5v motor off 2x AA, which played at a steady speed until the batteries reached 1.8v combined (2x 0.9v), at which point the player would switch off. The same thing has been used in CD players, mp3 players and phones ever since.
We're no longer dependent on a voltage of the battery. CPUs are especially sensitive to voltage irregularities and require an absolute steady voltage to stay stable at a given clock speed. What Apple has done is a firmware level downclock. It's not about the battery losing capacity, it's about a manufacturer forcing users to upgrade.

What they forget is that a few of them come to android mainly the oneplus 5T.
I own a oneplus 5 and a oneplus 5T the latest for me and the other for my wife.
We have a community App and there are lots of previous iphone users who write they are satisfied to go from IOS to Android. It won't surprise me if Apple loses some marketshare in 2018

I dont think thats true, I have bought a completely new iphone 4s last year because I like that phones DAC. But although it had completely new and original battery the phones speed was far from the speed it had with ios 6.

I realized that if you charge your phone up completely, the CPU clock is higher, and as the battery gets depleted, the frequency gets lower.

Jesus, the article itself is ridiculous but comments make me facepalm even more. OF COURSE batteries die out over time and it's the same case for any phones, electronics, and just everything. No one ever used gadgets back in 90s or 80s? No one ever used rechargeable double A batteries for their CD/cassette players? Are all the commenters in a middle school or something? You should know that any rechargeable batteries lose its capacity over time and it shouldn't be a worthy subject to write an article or argue between Apple likers vs haters.

Still battery is sealed.
If it was removable you could simply buy a new one when it got old.
Now you have to send your phone to them, they will charge you for battery + service.
This way they earn more.

Does anyone remember the good old days (about 2 years ago) when you charged a spare battery at home using a desktop charger and carried it around with you? Then it was case of phone cover off, remove battery, insert charged battery, cover back on, and restart. Then you had a 100% charged battery in your phone in less than 60 seconds. That was before the manufacturers decided (wrong) that we all wanted a waterproof phone so they sealed the battery inside making it unremovable. It was a con we all fell for and now we have to change our phone every two years solely because the battery won't last half a day even though the rest of the phone works perfectly.

I need the best specs given. so if phones could swap Chipsets. that would be helpful. otherwise. your idea is as good as trying to densify water.

Sim free/factory unlocked phones are always better anyway. With a contract, you are in prison and you are exposed to the will of the mobile operators. Moreover the mobile operators remove features and options from phones, add limitations, pre-install a lot of bloatwares.
