I bet you can trick it with a decent resolution finger scan since it only uses a visual sensor :D

Faizal Firdaus, 11 Jan 2018I'd prefer the fingerprint sensor on back rather than front... more"Face ID, I don't find it as a good replacement for fingerprint. I use face id in my laptop (Intel real sense camera), it's ok for laptop, but no very convenient for a phone. Because I unlock my laptop 2-3 times per day, but phone over 100 times, each time I don't wanna hold my phone in-front of my face."

i think you don't understand how funny this sounds :) First of all you only have used crappy face recognition, nothing to do with Face ID. If you would use iPhone X you would understand how well it actually works.

"each time I don't wanna hold my phone in-front of my face."

well like i said, you only have used very crappy version of face recognition with X i don't need to do any extra, i use my phone normally and it's unlocking the phone without thinking it, there's no need to hold your phone in-front of your face if the face recognition was done well.

As soon as your display scratches or gets broken you have a problem,
So this isnt probably the best idea.
But as we can expect samsung will copy this along with apple.
They are too lazy to bring own ideas.

Regarding OLED being the only screen capable of using this, LCD-centric companies like HTC and Sony will have a hard time. I hope HTC makes SuperOLED (I know there's Super AMOLED but I'm just following nomenclatures) and I hope it's compatible for MicroLED for Sony to implement it.
