They basically turned smartphone industry into fashion industry and now there's almost no choice - if you want a smartphone, you gotta buy a fashionphone. the only "choice" is how much you'll pay for it. And since that's the only way to punish them, i only buy budget fashionphones.

To be honest and i am always honest it is.
Yillions of people walking in streets these days with headphones on ears.
They dont hear cars using horn on them dont hear trains etc. They just walk like world doesnt exist and then we have such many fatal accidents.
If i can say for my self. Phones with jack shouldnt exist at all.

Apple is really a curse for mobile industry. Trend of downgrading and removing features starts with Apple. And no matter what, other shameless companies will follow Apple blindly. Originality is what the world needs the most. Also we need to get rid of zombies.

It's a bit like complaining about how visible light is dangerous from a light bulb. It's electromagnetic radiation too.

Could you please stop it with this BLATANT BS?
Here I have my XZ1 with incredible sound quality via usb-c and a DAC. With incredible sound quality via BT Audio (LDAC). Oh wait, and it still has a 3.5mm jack! How do they do that?!

And think of how much easier they could have achieved this by not adding the 3.5! Oh wait, no, they couldn't.

Let's all cast our minds back to the time when phones didn't come with a headphone jack. Frankly, it was both rubbish, and inconvenient. Sony Ericsson used to have dongle adapters for their Walkman branded phones if memory serves right. Dongles. Guess what's making a comeback? Dongles. I don't think this is any kind of advance.

Removing the 3.5mm jack completely is a step backwards and a dongle hassle unless OEM's finally put a smaller 2.5mm jack in or a double USB-C port for each scenario.

Radiation from my phone being connected to a cell tower and sometimes WiFi is enough.

I don't need a Bluetooth headset or headphones radiating such a delicate part of my body which is my BRAIN!

And when the time comes to somehow replace the battery, it's officially not water-proof anymore. And that's if it even survives the battery replacement.

The headphone jack is a relatively HUGE component. I agree with the removal if the extra space is being utilised appropriately. I haven't missed it on my 7 plus but I don't think the extra space was utilised. Apple is pushing the new standards a bit aggressively, like they did on the macbook pro lineup which has only usb C ports. But it is true. The standard usb needs to be killed for the same reason as the headphone jack: they are both unnecessarily big.

I waterproofing was so must have feature, then why we don't see it in hand held gaming consoles? I never had a problem with phone due to water damage. You can't even use them in salt water. I'm strongly against non removable batteries and lack of headphone jack. It's not adding, but removing features. Maybe in 10 years when phone battery can last 10 days and Bluetooth headphones batteries too.

I remembered the days when I'm using the world's smallest phone at it's time, the i-Mobile 310 and 309, and it was the first few with a 3.5mm audio jack... Many still thought my phone was an MP3 player...

Then a year on, suddenly every phone has a 3.5mm audio jack...
