Okay, but 5-10mb, how much must a menu worth? I can open any page without any fuss, but whenener i m trying ovi maps, i end up raising my blood pressure. Lol
U know too, how gr8 its map server is! I m not complaining without any reasons.
And abt that ovi suite, iend up updating it every odd time i ure mapr. Means, more than 100mb actually to see the menu at first place.
Wont support or buy any nokia item in life!
But heavens, even samsung kies has enough potential make a person bang his laptop against a wall, lol.

[deleted post]Come on you don't expect it to be speedy on a 17.2kbps modem now do you? lol

Update to the latest version. My problems with the suite were solved with my last update about a month ago.

This looks great, and is proof that you can have a smooth UI without a monster Processor. I'm betting the gpu works a lot harder for this update though.

Some people here are unbelievable. One even berates the OS because the guy filming it nudged the phone. Yes, he was filming it at the same time!

And this is a phone that is a year old! You can't compare it to SGS2. Dummies.

the market share of nokia has dropped considerably as it has stopped making landmark phones like the nokia n95 8gb and begun producing crappy devices.. they are not the inventors of smartphones but hey did make it a household name.. even apple iphone is not they greates smartphone as most of the people claim, for these sorts of people, buying an iphone is like the biggest possible thing.. atleast this is so in india.. personally i am using samsung galaxy s2 and find it mare than satisfying.. it can do things that my iphone proud iphone owning friends, just dream about..!!

ah back in the day, it was nokia against sonyericsson, .sis apps against .jar apps. but now i'm not sure our children will remember their names by the time they turn 7yrs old, as a nokia fan since my 7650, i'll read bedtime stories about the legend of nokia to my kids

I switched to SG S2 after being faithful to Nokia for 8 years. It seems the sleeping giant is waking up to reality. With symbian belle for the faithful, customized windows mango for the professionals and N9 for the adventurous, Nokia may be reclaim it's throne again. Go Nokia- my next phone may be Nokia again!

what happened to those designs posted with the very first snapshots of Belle UI? it looked so awesome and different. I personally don't see a point covering half of the unlocked screen with the clock. Maybe older people need it that size but I rather use up that screen space with some extra shortcuts etc. Hope the old clock will still remain as an option.

Another thing, would be nice to get an outstanding surprise from Nokia and get this version in couple of months. I personally enjoy using symbian as it does everything I've ever needed.

Its been around and for so long rumors about Anna & now Belle that I've already had enough of them. Either you put it out to those who have to devises or keep it a secret until you have ready to be delivered.
I am sick & tired of that "coming soon" from Nokia.
In fact I think their moto should be...
"Coming Soon, somewhere, somehow, when we feel like i...probably!"
An N8 owner and soon (probably) an N9 one.

I don't know why everyone says this is a droid ripoff just because of the pull down notification. Every once in a while someone comes up with a great idea and that becomes a standard of sorts.

Otherwise by this measure, virtually every touch phone out there should be called an iPhone ripoff because, anyone remember the pathetic point-and-tap-with-a-stylus-on-a-resistive-screen interface we had before then???
