It's a known fact that you NEVER buy any technological product as it gets released. Only get it a few months after release so you won't have to deal with the problems.

Well, I have been using the phone for over 1 month now and the phone is perfectly fine. No troubles with the LCD whatsoever, even the slightest touch will register. Your problems might be caused by applying to much pressure on the phone itself. Dude the SENSATION is not an Iphone where you can press it as hard as you want and it will not break. The Sensation is a delicately crafted fine piece of machine and needs to be treated that way. For the dropped connections, don't blame your phone, instead blame your service providers for that. I had mine on AT&T and it was so horrible,I changed mine to T-Mobile and it was awesome!

How odd. I was wondering if the touchscreen responsiveness issue was just me...apparently not.

My idea would be to only buy a mobile phone after it has been on the market for at least half a year.

This is a software problem. An update can solve it.
Better this that faulty screens that you can't change with software updates, like SAMSUNG Galaxy S2 (with yellowish left tint, colour circles, vertical lines, etc...).

I have had this with two unbranded devices. The option to take out the battery for a whil (I left it out for an hour) and then press the power button to fully deplete the energy before replacing the battery seemes to have helpen a lot. It's been 4 days now and it's still not showing the issue. It's slightly showing itself sometimes but it's a lot better now. There is a package available to get S-OFF, and maybe a new ROM could fix this, so let's keep our hopes up for the devs.

I had touchscreen issues with my unit as well as dust getting under the screen. After the disappointment from this phone, I'm not even sure if I would get another HTC in the future. I liked the HD2 though.

JustMe, 03 Aug 2011Again? The HTC Sensatuion issue EXCLUSIVE ONLY AT GSMARENA?... moreOr... you could just take about 2 1/2 mins to actually search the web & see just how many people are suffering from these problems & realise that this HTC phone is a bag of crap. What's the point in a touchscreen phone where the touchscreen doesn't work?

The fact that HTC refuse to admit it is in keeping with their usual high handed, don't care about the customer attitude.

I've had 2 HTC phones in the past & HTC disappointed me with both.

The HTC touch HD - excellent phone & a flagship at the time. Then WM6.5 came out & HTC released the HTC HD2. I waited patiently for my firmware update to 6.5 (which had already been cooked on xda so the phone was more than capable). HTC's official response; The type of consumer that originally bought the touch HD would be the type of consumer that will now buy the HD2 so we won't upgrade the HD as our customers will have upgraded themselves.. (read between the lines - we sold this phone to mugs & to repay them we'll make them buy another flagship phone if they want an update from us).

My other HTC phone - the legend - outdated within 3 months & took 10 months from release of 2.2 to giving me the update & even then they only released it due to massive customer backlash after they released the statement that said it wouldn't be getting any updates.. (just look at the thousands of disgruntled HTC Hero owners for more proof that HTC doesn't give a damn about its customers).

At least with someone like apple - you get updates & support for years from them.

Samsung too are good - I was still receiving support for my omnia i900 long after they'd already released the omnia 2.
