HaHaHa, "Death Grip" or "iHold" problem on iPhone, heating problem on SGS, and now touch problems on sensation... All of these are results of trying to put high specs on the phones, when they haven't true technology and just want to get your money as soon as possible with a "hurry-up rush" product!
look at SonyEricsson and Nokia... they never would have such problems, and idiots complain SE and Nokia are behind others in tech!!! the truth is: SE and Nokia have REAL tech to make phones with weak spec but perfect performance.
SE rules...
(Yes, I'm a SE fan, just updated my X10 to Gingerbread and I prefer my old monster to those copycat low-tech overpriced phones)

Only one or two misses like that is OK :) I thought its really a major issue :p

Perhaps, HTC should just show the best way to hold the phone.. Using only one hand like that, increases the chance to touch the side part of the screen..

[deleted post]It's not crap man - I paid a lot of money for this phone, and there is a problem with it. The fact that GSMarena posted it, means that HTC will see it is a problem and not just a whiney user, so chill out, and respect the fact that we want a working phone, not a piece of *&^% with year 2000 touchscreen abilities

I had that issue too, but after software update (find on net), everything works just fine, no wifi problem, no touch problem too.

Presure on capacitive screens? Um? On both, HTC Wildfire and Samsung Wave I, i have to just slightly touch the screen and it registers a touch. You have to press harder on cheaper resistive phones where you actually have to make a physical pressure to the screen to make a touch detection.

Yes, absolutely! My Sensation just does-not register a touch input abruptly. Besides this annoyance, my phone works very well and have no other major bugs. To be honest, my Incredible S worked flawlessly and felt much faster than the Sensation.

HTC never fixed the problems with the Nexus One screen or camera so I doubt if they'll fix this,, you'll get a lot of "blagging", "return it us", "wait for the software upgrade" and before you know it your six months into the warranty and they've another flagship handset around the corner to drool about.

After the debacle with the nexus one I wouldn't touch them with a long pole........... ps I'm no HTC hater having had plenty of their handsets since the XDA but they are a little like a teenager experiencing growing pains and something to avoid for now......

Yep - same problem for me. I know that xda thread pretty well, wishing for a solution. Had the phone for 2 weeks and boom, touchscreen horrible! Tried safe mode, and factory reset, it is better now, but not 100% and just 'waiting' for it to go again :( Bad htc...bad htc!

I love htc and using the htc hd desire. but this phone is a big disappointment for htc. they need to take a leaf out of samsung book and look how good they made a phone with the galaxy s 2, And im saying this even tho i hate samsung. BUT WHAT A PHONE

JustMe, 03 Aug 2011Again? The HTC Sensatuion issue EXCLUSIVE ONLY AT GSMARENA?... moreDon't blame GSMArena of hating HTC. They are just reporting the issues that they got from other forums and threads. If your HTC Sensation do not suffer from such issues then you should be grateful and feel lucky. Others have voice out that their HTC Sensation do suffers from death grip and touch screen malfunction. Cheers!!

Nice brainwash htc, if your phone is laggy it's good to use computer animated commercials which look very good and smooth :)

I tested this phone yesterday and it was big dissappoinment, it wasn't nowhere near what commercial look, it was laggy all over the place and browser was extra laggy.

I've never really had general problems with HTC devices so I'm quite surprised with this one. In other words, until I've tried the Sensation and truly experienced such problem, I'll put GSMArena's words into the back of my mind.

yes i have this problem. removing the battery for 1-2 min is my solution. It doesn't happen often now but it used to be a problem for me .

Had my Sensation since it came out in May and haven't had any of the claimed issues. The device has been rock solid. UK, Vodafone. With so many internet reviews it seems that some jump the gun or over dramatise in order to get the angle noticed. If anyone is having trouble then it's a shame but with so many providers rolling out their own updates it's not fair to just point the finger of blame to just the manufacturer.
