And this is why pixel/nexus phones past jb are less and less true android experiance. Never bought a nexus and never will buy a pixel. Waiting for axon 9/redmi note 5/fix for undetectable sd card on my redmi note 3

I hope the horns have media buttons instead of a full screen that ruins the immersion.

What exactly is Galaxy S8's "problem" (Well besides the ridiculous aspect ratio but it has nothing to do with the "need" for a notch)? The notch itself is a priblem...just like dwad pixels. Missing parts of your screen is not a feature.

It just means the OEM doesn't have to hack their Android build to deal with a notch.
Notches are going to happen. They are a solution to a problem.
Obviously the notch stuff is really a pretty minor update.
Android building more Assistant into itself. Making it easier for apps to use Assistant. That's the important stuff.

HA! Android fanboys were laughing at the IPX notch and now Google is going to embrace the notch. Just like the history of 3.5mm jack, soon all Androids will be having the same notch designs. I just knew that Apple is and will always be the trend setter.

But what short of mind you are. The notch is an alternative appearance that will be optional activated by the manufacturer only for those models or in any case activated by menu in case someone without notch prefers to group notifications, etc. Phones without notch will not be affected and you're already hysterical. Worse are the black bands in the 18:9.
