i have never cared about the weight of a phone, frankly i have never even noticed which one is 200g and which one is 130g, so there should be the option "it does not matter"

Anonymous, 19 Feb 2018ideal weight is zerotrolling dear chap? 0G means non existence. or holographic phone.and then how would you project it? you need a source so 0G phone is impossible. everything has a weight physics wise.
Although technically. with the current fabrication technology. it's possible to make a 5g phone. (earrings anyone? ;D yes. smart earrings that can emit the sound to the ears without anyone hearing and acting as a microphone as well.)

Honestly, until you spend some time with a lighter phone you just can't appreciate how good it is. At first it feels flimsy ... toy-like, but once you're over that its so much easier to use.
Lighter phones are much easier to handle - especially one handed, less prone to being dropped, less likely to suffer damage if accidentally dropped, and much easier to carry in your pants or jacket pocket.
Manufacturers need to use lighter/stronger alloys and solve the problem of battery weight so that battery capacity isn't sacrificed.
My Galaxy S4 was great at around 130gms... My S2 was just superb at around 110gms - awesome. Ever since my S2 everything just feels needlessly heavy... and thick!

Xiaomi Mi5 launched in 2016 was 129g. I have been using it for almost two years now and every other phone now feels heavy.

Weight should only be a secondary consideration. That said, lighter is better.

Weight really not a big factor, considering size of the phones, but than you take some iPhone plus ones, you can feel Weight, so I guess anything around 150-170 should be acceptable
