’I voted for the 170 gram weight, but I’m fine with anything from 160 to 200 grams as long as I like the phone.

Currently using a 160g phone. It's too slippery without a case on it. The case adds about 20g of extra heft, which in addition to the extra traction makes it perfect. I used to use the 200g ish xiaomi mi mix and had no problems with it being slippery despite being the same material. My conclusion is that for glass phones, 160 is too light, although a case easily fixes the problem. Any lighter and it might not.

The 195g of the note 8 is perfectly fine for me. I like it better on the heavy side. The light ones feel fragile.

My ideal phone is Galaxy S6 edge 7mm 132g, lightweight, slim and perfect. When S8 came I didn't like that it's heavier and thicker but when I bought it, it didn't feel bad at all. Although it's the lightest flagship of the year so I think 150g is fine. Anything heavier than 155-158 is really heavy.

I use tablet of half kilo weight in one hand, so no limit? But truly I would welcome 0G device if existed.

Depends on the size. A big but light phone doesn't feel right. When my friend got an iPhone 6S (143 grams) I took it in my hand and it just felt too cheap and fragile. My S5 weighs 200 grams with case and it might be a bit too heavy for its size, but it never ever bothered me. When I take the case off it feels too light and breakable (145 grams) even though my ancient feature-phone Ericsson had 140 grams and I thought it was heavy. My Nokia N8 was small and 135 grams was ideal for its size. So, it all depends.

ClockSoicy084, 18 Feb 2018"This means you hold the lower half of the phone and you do... moreZ3c size and weight, 5" microled display, titanium frame, curved kevlar back. That's what I want.

It's not so much that there's an ideal weight for a phone, as it is that weight is far less important than battery life. 1000 mAH of lithium ion batteries weighs about 16g, I don't think there's a single phone on the market that wouldn't be battery off being 16g heavier and having that much extra battery.

hi
currently my 2 device(1 as daily and 1 as backup mostly in my car) are around 200gr (Blackberry Passport SE 196gr and Nokia N900 181gr) and i don't fell they are heavy at all.
so as long as you love what you bought it dose not matter how heavy it is.
so as my current state i'll vote for 200gr!

200+ if we like phones with huge and big batteries.
110 grams thats just funny.
For elderly or adult who have no passion in touch phones i understand small button phone but long time ago we had a heavy phones and small but very thick.
In present we have a very thin phones but large in size but most of them lack in good durable battery which can last at least 2 days,
Anyway in wild west they bearing a creed man with biggest gun was the boss.
Now who have biggest and thickest and heaviest phone is the boss.
Like having XP7 from Sonim which weights mere 300 grams.

5.0"-5.5" is the ideal
6.0" is a gross nearly phablet/tablet size for a phone, unless you use it for Gaming.

i've got a sony XZ1 and XZP, and i prefer the weight on the XZP even though it's only 50g heavier, it just feels more substantial, and less slippery, but could also be down to it being thicker and larger overall.

My ideal weight is ~140gms, of nexus 5x, but then it wasn't my ideal size, nor it had a big (and weighted) battery. A 6inch screen phone with s8-ish non-curved bezel and weight of 130-150gms and 4000mah will be awesome.

I agree with most. Having phones around 150 g is ideal. If they can work around that and keep decent battery and all other specs that would be great.

Under 170g is okay for me but I don't mind if a phone weighs 200g especially if offers something exceptional like a huge battery or better camera.
