Would be a beautiful design if it weren't for the fact the sides look like a brick! Also Sony Xperia'are Sony Walkmans which have always been dedicated to Music, SO WHO'S BRIGHT IDEA WAS IT TO AXE THE HEADPHONE JACK???? EPIC FAIL!!!

Sony Mobile should fire their engineers and designers for creating these abominations.
11.1mm thick yet the battery is only 3180mAh. Huawei somehow managed to fit a 3200mAh battery for a 5" phone yet keep it only 7mm thin. Sony needs to borrow a page from manufacturers like Apple, Samsung and Huawei on how to design their logic boards to save space. Poor logic board designing and internal construction on the part of Sony. Massive PCBs with plenty of wasted space plus difficulty in doing basic repairs like battery replacement should be easy (not where you have to remove the entire PCB just to get the battery). Not to mention removal of the headphone jack as a pathetic excuse for a bigger battery when several phones are thinner yet have a headphone jack and a bigger battery.
Borrowing MKBHD's words: a poor use of space. Looks like Sony desperately wants to shut down its Mobile division by creating these abominations.

And I don't like the following things on my XZP:
1. Low light camera quality. Serior auto also can be improved a lot.
2. Battery life can be improved.
3. Plastic frame of the phone can be made from metal.

My XZP is soooo much better in therms of design.
Also, I did a concept phone in photoshop based on the XZP. There, I'm one of those who will design a phone :)

Unfortunately BYOD (Build YOD) Is nearly impossible to preform. so we'll just either request people to just go and work as designers. (As if you think your design you think of is better -_-) or swallow the frog and just accept it.
ONE THING I will not accept, disappearance of the 3.5mm jack.

Haptic vibration system, 3D scanner back and front, 4k hdr video recording, super slo mo at fhd, new algorithm 19 mpx Motion eye camera, front facing speakers, fastest UI performance.
What they dont offer is headphone jack, and thats a serious con, wont entice samsung customers, and also sure iphone users wont jump ship just because of added fp scanner.
So you are right, it wont entice merican customers, nor will it retain most of Xperia customers worldwide.
Sad, but true.

12mm?! Really? And Li-Ion 2870 battery... Dear Sony, why don't you just leave this business and do something or anything else...

Camera, power button and finger print button is way too low. The last sony that I used, i.e. 2014 x1 compact, was the best compact flagship design to date.

Fingerprint sensor in the wrong place? No 3.5mm headphone jack? Slippery gorilla glass back panel? Battery sapping HD screen for the compact? No FM Radio?
