How could they ignore pixel 2, mate 10, lg v30? I think pixel 2 has the best camera. Either these reports are fake or they are biased towards apple and samsung

Please give the demographics of those consumers and where was the survey made. I'm pretty sure the parameters of this report is bias or not properly done in the right consumers.
Example:
Consumers using iphone, lg, samsung, pixel 2, Huawei and sony should be equal then they will choose which camera is better by using them on the same scenario and subjects.
Just saying. peace to every one.

Lets just agree to disagree....probably the choices were narrowed down to Apple and Samsung only. How could Huawei, Pixel, LG, HTC are not in the list. If iPhone 6s Plus is there, these brands top tiers should also be there.

The pixel is a hdr camera. That does not make it good, it does not even have any manual control or allow raw photos. You can achieve the pixel's results with proper bracketing when needed. On the other hand, the iphone 8 or X (Same camera) has amazing raw photos with no abnormalities or distortions. I have not used a samsung so I cannot tell it's quality but the s9 on paper seems promising.
There is also Lg who had an amazing G4 and G5 camera which only lacked higher quality glass/ lens but they went for a crappy smaller lens on their newer G6 and V30 with significant downgrade in image IQ/ quality.
Hdr is a joke to anyone that is not a layman.

Bcs there are only two OSes out there, and two OEMs only. Just them. Others dont matter. At least for this reporter and some people.
I mean, really?

In good light, and especially conditions in good light that requires a high dynamic range, the Pixel 2 is unbeatable. But the Pixel 2 has an awful lens, and performs poorly in lower light compared to other devices.
The new iPhones have good lenses, and perform well even in lower light, even though they tend to oversaturate colours. I could see why they'd take the crown.
The Samsungs overprocess and oversaturate obscenely much. It's not even funny how bad they are at this.

Well there goes the credibility of that chart:
"Wait... What? How did Consumer reports conclude that the iPhone 8 Plus, the pricier one that has a second camera, is one rank under the iPhone 8's single shooter? "
Steve Jobs was right. Customers don't know what they want.

It seems like Consumer Reports it's having some obvious preferences to Apple devices over anyone's. Just look at how much they praise the Apple MacBook Pros compared to rejecting to recommend Microsoft's Surface lineup. Or placing the 6S Plus OVER obvious better cameras!? Also no Pixels and no other phones? Someone has obvious preferences.

Consumer Reports didn't get the memo "Pixel 2 AI software makes better photos".
Laughable. I've used iPhone X, S8+, and Pixel XL 2, and regular Pixel 2.
I can honestly say Pixel takes the best photos.
