I'm waiting with impatience . LG V30 was great , except selfie camera. but now i think it will be good in LG G7. very slim bezels , looks great.

People didn't like the notch, yet they still put it there. I thought they restructured their plans for their 2018 flagship? Another flop incoming.

What happens is the GPU calculates the image at 1080p and than upscales it to 1440p to be displayed. This saves power in games and demanding applications but is nor very relevant for apps that don't take much GPU power compared to render at the native resolution.
If the display were to have a native resolution of 1080p, than the power saving would be more tangible compared to 1440p set to 1080p from software.

If you want to hide the notch by making it black, it will look ugly, because the display always shows some light, unless is OLED .

The G6 did not get yet the oreo update and android P has already been released to devs a month ago. For a company like LG, which also made a couple of nexus phones with Google, this is unacceptable.
They are loosing the battle against themselves with bad OS support and lame batteries in the latest G models. LG are loosing market inly because of themselves.
Very upset with them after owning the last 3 G phones from LG.

Gapps are bloatware, 02 Apr 2018How is it any worse than what Samsung has?See feedback on notebooks pentile and rgbw screens. Not sure about pentile ones, but feedback on rgbw screens is pretty bad. So much that new pcs come back without it.

If this phone doesn't include a sizable battery to offset the LCD panel, regardless of this "M+LCD" marketing term, this will be a no buy. Also, how is this phone going to differentiate from the LG V40 that's supposedly coming, aside from having an OLED screen?

The notch area adds ~1/20 to the diagonal - I doubt the notch-screen backlight draws any more power than the bezelled equivalent. I would wager AOD saps more power than a notch.

NO-tch buy a phone with generic appareance, ugly notch, 1 µm sensors and stratospheric increased price being more of the same. LG should cancel it again and make a real survey instead of delete post with the answers they don't like when they ask their customers their oppinion like last week.

oh dear rgbw screen. id rather have a 720p screen to save power than rgbw if its going to be anything like there 4k rgbw screens on their tv's. Here's another LG phone that wont be long before its discounted and thrown in a bargain bin. Hope im wrong mind.

1 LED flash with 8-16 colors or
about (140×140)×2 touch sensitive OLED flashs?
there is NO problem in an OLED notch it allows you to use 18:9 of the screen will display notification at the same time with out risking the battery life
and even better if you use the bottom UI display like iPhone X
this way you can have "NOTCH" and "CHIN" working together to replace the useless bezels
the problem isn't in the "the notch" the problem is it's reputation how?
people don't like two things in spacial:-
1) brands trying to trick them with lies like "FULL VIEW" or "BEZELESS"
2) being ripped off by copycats
some brands are locking for an excuse to call there phones "BEZELESS"
now we ALL know you can't use thr notch to display video or games like IPHONE X
you are probably right now saying "NOTCH SUCK >:("
