[deleted post]There are many difference between lens and sensors.. get your facts right.. Carl Zeiss might be producing camera sensors but lens and and sensors are totally different. Never heard about Zeiss sensors. They are well known for their lenses. Hope you know the difference. I don't need to Google to comment everything.. Samsung's omnivision is a sensor Sony's imx is sensor. Carl Zeiss lens is used in Nokia camera module. Don't know what sensor it is using.

Do you pay for the development of Android how do you think google pays for building new OS each year.
Is any one of these custom ROM guys sitting and building new version of Android for free.
Get some sense.
Not Every Line of Code in Android is Open Source there is some proprietary code also.
I know what hardwork Miui has put it must be very hard to copy Samsung experience , iOS and All the other skins out there and merge them into one.

Which leads to slower updates and lag.
Which most people don't like everyone wants Stock Android these days.
Faster updates , less bloatware and lag free user experience.
Hence Nokia has done market research and gone with trend.
You might think that companies are chewing on peanuts sitting in their office.

Why are you forcing them to allow you to unlock the bootloader when you can as well buy an other phone.
They want to keep their phone secure , People who want security will go for Nokia and The rest like you can go for Xiaomi or oneplus whichever company that allows you to unlock your bootloader.
Also the Uncertified device locking has been in testing face for now soon it will be implemented.

All these ROMs are compiled from source there is no Custom ROM today that writes is own code other than Paranoid Android , Lineage and a few others.
All the others just copy and paste features in the name of AOSP.
Coming to Miui it's just a clone of iOS.

as you said porting CAF or AOSP is easier this is what made hmd mobile to give faster updates because they are too lazy to implement their own instead they rely on pure android....

Nokia 7 plus is slightly over priced. by very less margin. Just 1000-2000INR. Just compare the features. May be OIS is lacking that makes it look like over priced for me. There is no any other shortcomings. Don't buy if it looks overpriced. You can buy xiaomi or oppo or vivo. And don't compare it with other brand phones. Quality vs quantity. Xiaomi gives 4000mah battery for phones that have 720p or 1080p 5" or 5" display but does it last long enough for those numbers with these features.? Whereas Samsung give less capacity battery and provides something similar or more batter life with similar specs. Just check the battery life test of GSMArena. People who are saying over priced just don't look at numbers. Real over priced phone is Nokia 8 sirocco..

I can use phone for 4 years easily with those, Cant support company which doesn't allow me to unlock bootloader. I am running oreo on redmi note 3 right now, dont think any nokia phone of that time has one... oh wait....

Custom ROMs are for those people who usually don't get updates and have to prolong their usage .
Back in the days of gingerbread and ice-cream sandwich every ROM was different Paranoid Android [Pie , Halo] had and PAC man [Different UI like Tablet UI , PA colours etc ] they had different features and concepts.
Those days were great with my first phone the Sony Xperia S which had great development.
But what has happened these days we have all Wannabees like you trying to compile roms where every ROM is the same
Every day there is a new guy who wakes up copies others works puts a name to it and release the ROM
Adding a donation link to it.
It's damn easy to compile from CAF and AOSP isn't it some tweaks here and there some visual changes.
I guess your one of those wannabes.
Anyways i don't think you know that after installing the ROM you have to go to ADB and get your Android ID (settings get secure android_id)
When your disallowed from signing in to you Google account.
Because using a custom rom makes your device uncertified.
When you used the term flashaholics I came to know that you are either a OnePlus or Xiaomi user who started flashing ROMs before 1 year.
Anyways try visiting XDA some time to be up to date with the lastest developments in the world of custom ROMs.
Giberish is also very wannabe grow up.
These days I don't install a custom ROM unless it's official I don't want to install junk made by some wannabe developer to earn some pocket money.
