LG Superfan, 10 Apr 2018Huawei should introduce new SoC with P series to better com... moreI don't see why Huawei needs to follow everyone else and compete with SOCs. I've had my honor 9 with Kirin 960 for almost 6 months now, and it's never hung or lagged once. I also have no issues with my games. The chipsets are good. The only thing they need to work on is 4k at 60fps, more efficiency and better NPUs.

Its not fake, but does it matter with sluggish Android? They are always going to drain out processors with unwanted processes/threads and checks at every keystroke.

Anonymous, 10 Apr 2018Clearly talking about the heat and power of just another sn... moreSamsung wanted to reach Apple's single core processing power, and as there was not popped up issue in E8895, they decided to maintain E8895 Graphic power with fewer cores which made room for more heat dissipation inside E9810.
Samsung wise:
SD835 (QHD+) = 20.0 fps
SD845 (QHD+) = 32.0 fps = 60% improvement
---
E8895 (QHD+) = 24 fps (MP20/546MHz) = 1.2 fps/core
E9810 (QHD+) = 24 fps (MP18/572MHz) = 1.3 fps/core
---
K970 (QHD) = 22 fps (MP12/850MHz) = 1.8 fps/core
---
Assuming 20 Core 850MHz = 36 fps = (QHD+) 32 fps.
----------
HiSilicon view is different. G72 working 850 MHz is the maximum possible frequency.
Kirin 970 was the result of Huawei R&D and as they still focus in raw central processing power, it is unlikely that they can keep up with such in graphic processing department.
If they are already found a way to mass produce such a giant which bring tremendous overall result, It is good for us which pay less for upcoming flagship grade mid rangers.

Though I do believe that even with a few more cores and slightly higher clock hole the G72 may equal or surpass the the 630 it may come at a higher thermal power cost. Though just to match probably not a lot more.
If they hadn't gone for the new wide cpu design they would have obviously given the gpu side more oomph.

Performance is good and all but I do hope Huawei doesn't forget about software optimization, large batteries and good design. I don't really think the Mate 20 (or whatever Huawei will call it) should have a "notch". If they were able to make a notchless Mate RS then why not the next Mate series as well?
Other things I expect to see on the new Mate 20 are:
- IP68 certification
- QHD Display
- 4000mah battery
- Loud stereo speakers
- A headphone jack (please?)
- NFC
- Dual or Triple camera from P20
- In-display fingerprint reader (because why not?)

If they use stock A75, I can't see this score being possible.
They need a custom CPU that is like Apple's SoC in Single threaded performance.
