Some do it better than others and it's not down to how powerful the phone is. I also own a 3T and arguably the best looking game for Android now i.e Shadowgun Legends runs maxed out on my phone smoothly. Where as certain lower graphics games tend to lag.

I used to have LG G2 and it lagged l... moreMy One Plus One can still run all games on high settings. Only issue is if I play for more than 15mins it starts to get heated up which doesn't happen with my 3T.
It's not all abt GPU the storage and ram chip used plays a big part too. My Nexus 7(2012) had a terrible storage and RAM chip even though it had plenty of power for it's time which resulted in it's bad for performance after a while...

Try to game on brand new games like Honkai, Aura Kingdom, Tera, Lineage 2 and others on highest settings, it's very hard to achieve even stable 30 fps, not even saying 60 fps. Snapdragon 845 may run these new games at 60 fps, or at least i hope so, lol. True demanding games requires true processing power, not those toys that can run old games.
And sure, if the game is just a simple popular game, they make the extreme low graphics settings to make even a very old device run it.

Most last year flagships can run all game in play store no problem, there are only a brand or two that still has issue, maybe compatibility issue and so on, even last year mid-range can handle game no problem
FFXV PE just have their own share of optimization problem, it's not the phone fault actually, rather how the game is optimize, other more demanding game can run on last year flagship no problem like modern combat, Nova, shadowzone, vain glory, gta s.a etc

Although the price justifies its imperfections, other shortcomings for daily use of the phone is not worth all of the "gaming" tricks it provides. Except for a refreshing look among a sea of similar looking phones and a general smoothness in its UI courtesy of SD 835, it's a phone that will surely not sell in millions. Surely the executives of the company are not gamers lol

About this phone, i prefer the Black Shark for similar price and better SoC plus i have my doubts about the 4 fans, in noise, dust and because fans can fail along the time when aged. But i'm agree that if you are spending 390 euros why not spend 80 more and get a more complete phone with all flagship features like OIS, etc? Like the next Mi 7 Plus, for example. It's a matter of evaluate what you need and what you get for your money. In my case, i prefer spend a bit more even 120 euros more and get a phone with all.

My personal opinion about the gaming phones is that it's all about marketing and unique design. But when you realize it properly, you realize that they lack of features that other flagships of similar price has, like for example, good cameras with OIS, audio jack, microSD slot for media content while using the ROM for games, enough ROM, etc, depending of the model and brand. I clearly prefer a good flagship for gaming and general use that the alleged gaming phones.

what's with this gaming segment from brands like ZTE and Xiaomi i mean it's only physical appearance and slapping gaming name beside it that's all it's really stupid at least i respect what Razer did to their phone they added 120hz screen which is new to smartphone and they are bringing game titles that are optimized for Razer and that screen while Xiaomi for example made a normal high-end phone with a joystick and slap gaming name to it thats it and same goes to ZTE i mean RGB LED strip on smartphone really?!

nale10, 19 Apr 2018my oneplus 3t (snap 821) can run any games in playstoreI seriously doubt it. Unless you mean like open it but not to play the game. There are many many Android game on the playstore that even the last year flagship have problems to get the game running smooth without lag or frame rate drops.
Especially if the phone have low RAM or that their RAM management is not very optimize, you can't even run the new final fantasy XV pocket edition without crashing or freeze.
