This is one hell of a design.

Is that still happening with SD835?
I thought they are banned from using Qualcomm chipsets, or does that apply to the parent company ZTE only?

There's nothing that makes this phone 'Gaming' other than the.. wild aesthetics.
Snapdragon 835.. is still pretty good sure, but if you want to go 'gaming phone' why not use 845? At least it is still rather cheap.. and fugly

                  Snapdragon 800?
I used to have LG G2 and it lagged like hell on low settings on most games but my current Mi A1 runs most games on medium-high settings with no issues

Raw performance isn't everything, especially when you have bad optimization

Am I missing something here ?

This phone looks like a strictly worse version of the xiaomi gaming phone in every single way.
Worse GPU (most important in a gaming device)
Less battery capacity (second most important in a gaming device)
No stereo speakers, not even earpiece acting like a small one!
Most likely worse camera (I won't even try to explain why 24mp is gimmick)

Why would anyone buy this thing ?

Anonymous, 19 Apr 2018Design is good and price is cheap, but SnapDragon 835 makes... moreLol I dunno how badly out of touch with the industry u r. Even a Snapdragon 800's Adreno 330 can run all modern high graphics games smoothly. And even today high end mid range GPUs can't match the performance of older flagship Adrenos.
The most important factor for smooth performance while running high graphics games is heat and thus throttling. Considering the cooling mechanism on this phone it will run games better than most regular SD 845 flagships if u r a serious gamer. And the Adreno 540 is good enough to handle any game u throw at it for at least another 3 years which is as long as anyone will use a phone before upgrading anyways...

Not into gaming but what an eye catching design. Even if a design did not use all these visual elements, it is refreshing to see something different.

About time we had phones with a little bit of character and personality.

For that price is quite a nice mobile, sadly the chipset, i wouldn´t mind paying more for a better chipset but, its a good phone overall
