You can tell that you write alot of things you dislike about phones and then you realize your opinions were wrong. One thing you have to educate yourself is that not all design have to have a symmetrical look in order to look like a good design. There were alot of phones with keyboards at the bottom that were beautiful. It doesn't mean we have to put keyboards top and bottom to balance the design. Just like the Notch, for you to suggest putting a notch at the bottom to balace the design shows you have no taste at all. So please quit writing like you have some authority in this comment section, you are just another nobody in here blah blah blah thinking you are somebody

        Dxo gave 99 to Mi8.. Another coincidence.

        All devices rated above 90 , the reviews came out minutes after devices got announced.
        This is getting to ridiculous.

        I started to suspect since iphone X review, EXIF data says ADOBE, like if it was edited.

          OP6 is better than this MI8

            At this price point, the only real caveat is the lack of 3.5mm jack, which could be addressed w/ double channel dongle. For such tech to be compressed into a cheap sub-$500 pack is a good point. This phone is mostly a contrast to the old school Zenfone 5z, which is at the same price point, with its cutting edge tech, whereas ZF5Z is keeping lots of old school-ish yet useful tech, rehashed with new school interpretation.

              Plus the Xiaomi lacks a 3.5mm jack as well which I failed to mention.
              I'd rather much pay some more and grab the S9+ which lacks absolutely nothing compared to these phones.
              I don't like Samsung honestly, I'm more of an HTC and Sony guy myself, but they made the most complete flagship this year and it's the first time after the S4 that I'd consider grabbing a phone from them. Before that I had the S, the S3 and the S4, but dissapointed me a lot with the S5 and stopped buying from them.
              In case the S9+ is too expensive, the XZ1, XZs, P10 Plus, Meizu 15, Mate 10, Nokia 6, are all good picks and can compete at their repsected price ranges while being as complete as possible.

                -OLED screen
                -option to make the horns color black

                The iPhone X is ugly because when the horns are covered, only the top would have bezel, which looses the symmetrical look of the phone and makes it unattractive.
                The bottom chin gets symmetrical with the top notch+horns when the notch is hidden, which then makes the phone look like a normal modern day bezel less 18:9 screen phone, while also saving some extra screen estate as the notification status would go to the horns instead of taking up the main screen.


                To say the least, the notch is actually more useful than useless than I initially thought.
                Well, maybe because Apple just didn't utilize it properly, which turned me off.
                I also have thoughts of a phone with both top and bottom notch, in order to accommodate the on-screen buttons on the bottom notch and completely maximize the screen estate. But I'd say it's actually quite impossible as of now.

                      OnePlus 6 also has
                      -no microSD Card Slot
                      -single firing speaker
                      It has an official IP Rating, but only for minor everyday spills, in which pretty much any phone nowadays can easily handle even without an official rating.

                      You know what made this phone a winner??
                      Is that it's as good as more expensive phones, and covers pretty much everything that people would ever need in a smartphone.
                      Heck, I don't even know how they managed to sneak screen-embedded and backside fingerprint scanners at this price point.

                        And why everybody doesn't fill the screen to the bottom?!

                        1) they don't want to pay copyrights to Apple
                        2) swiping from a bottomless screen isn't always ideal in some situations! Sometimes very frustrating!
                        3) because off the high risk of damage when falling!

                                      If not, then an adapter for it, but better yet a Y-dongle that has ports for both 3.5mm jack and USB C to work at the same time, like the one that Sony's offering.

                                      Sorry dude, I'm just not yet ready to give that port up.
                                      Maybe some time in the future I will get used to it, but I'll be waiting for BT headsets to finally match wired headsets in pure audio quality for me to give the jack up.

                                        But unlike most, this one actually has almost as impressive hardware features in the notch as the original one.
                                        In terms of all replicas, this is the closest one to the original.
                                        And unlike the rest, this one is reasonably priced; priced more reasonably than even the original one.

                                        Let's just say that this is the iPhone X that you can afford.
