hopefully nokia was the last leaving mobile, now days to many copycat phone and customers buy this, leaving innovator phone dying, mobile tech will not develop forever

Mzma PIB, 20 Jul 2018HTC CEO should step down & appointed very talented pers... moreThere's nothing left of HTC. By the end of September, once the current layoffs wrap up, they'll be down to a 4,500 workforce worldwide. This is from an M7 heyday of 17,000.
If they do replace the CEO, at this point all they can do is to sell a company to the likes of Sony, Sharp, LG, etc.... They don't have proper resources and talent anymore to design a great device. Google has most of their great talent nowadays.

May the prophecy commence!
HTC is nothing but a former shadow of its glorious self. What happened? All you had to do was improve on the M7 Idea by upgrading specs and introducing a better camera. It was your cash cow, your 'hit' device. But noooo, you had to create M8. M9 and HTC10 were too little too late, and HTC 10 Evo with a previous years SOC?!?
That's what mismanagement does to great companies folks. Nothing to see here, move along.

It's like they think that they're entitled to success because they're a legend. Unfortunately past accomplishments don't mean anything if you're not doing well now, and the fact that HTC refuses to even try to change strategy makes it feel like they deserve what's happening to them.

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2018common sony lg .... next ur turnNot LG cause both the G6 and V30+ sold quite well in India. Yes they may not release the G7 since it won't stand a chance in front of Zenfone 5Z, Honor 10 and OP6. It'll be a suicide if they do.
Mark my words, they will jump straight to the V40. If they price around 50-55k then it can outsell the Note 9 and S9+

I wonder what the hell is wrong with htc. They made good phones but were extremely stubborn with their ridiculous pricing. Refusing to compromise led to their oblivion. I wouldn't say i pity them as they had years to adjust but simply didn't. They deserve to quit.

Its a sad thing for everyone. They made terrific phones. I used HTC One A9, but had to give it away for dual sim functionality. There was something unique about their design, one would instantly fall in love and care. Whether they made use of plastic or metal, it was there that set it apart from crowd. I own a Redmi note 4 now, it has metal body, great specs and performance but i miss the connection i had with my phone. Now its just a tool to do stuff. If this is the end of HTC, I believe it will just be rat race from now on for specs. A phone should be special, need not a work horse.

Other than this HTC introduced Streo speakers , Ultrapixel Technology ,HTC EVO 3D First 3D-enabled Android smartphone the list goes on and on .
This is the company that gave android a chance , This is the company because of which Android is what it is today , this company has given most of the things that you see in modern smartphone today, This company is an innovator a trendsetter and a legend.
What have Chinese companies done other than Counterfeiting and selling phones for cheap.
