good. i've beek aquianted to both brands since...2000 and smth. ...and to sony-ericsson after that ...if Sony takes over than they will produce better devices. I trust that it will make the same difference as it did before the venture (sony-wise improvement)

SonyEricsson phones have more SONY flavour and less ERICSSON. If SONY alone can made phones with cutting edge technology and can provide better service what is wrong in it? All SONY products are well known for its quality. It is the time for SONY to compete with other brands like HTC, SAMSUNG, Apple etc. It is the time of sony. make.believe

Someone mentioned this would happen in the comments section of a previous Sony Ericsson article, though I can't find which one it was. They also mentioned a future Sony Xperia phone with a bunch of rather advanced specs. Does anyone remember?

i think sonny will buy most of the shares but erricson will still keep its legacy and name its kindah be 80-20 which will give more power for sony to handle the company. I think they are solving probles of miscommunication that causes slow production in market and other issues. It would be more in the positive side this time but i still hope that they still keep their style and improve in a positive way :)Goodluck

Sony must do it...But must also think about the users. If they are planing to buy shares they must reduce the prices of the phones and give more features...

I don't know about this, I hope Sony does not do all these lame integrations with the plsystation and stuff. I want a straight up good phone no crap like xperia play

everyone now will know from now that the new SONY MOBILES use the know-how of ex-ericsson mobiles division for radio part design, and every one will know that sony will have behind a good telecommunications engineers so it will be NO PROBLEM TO REBRAND AGAIN S O N Y !!!! thanks god this moment have come finally. I HATE ERICSSON NAME.

I love the P990 and even my T616. Sony had better do something if it wants to stay in the game. They can keep the gaming and music phones. Give me specs & apps.

I think, this would be the end of the great work of this joint venture. I don't belief that sony could manage it on its own.
