I never knew that the U.S. Military drop test was 1.2 metres, (nearly 4 feet), what are they using child soldiers now?, lol.
I can already see that there is a difference of opinion here, but my preference is primarily unbreakable @ 1.83m (6'), if also scratch resistant then great, if it isn't then just supply the phone with a really good prefitted HD screen protector, so it's ready to go for everyone straight out of the box.
Also the back should also be drop proof to 6', although maybe it still has to be glass (because alternative materials that allow wireless charging are limited, but I'm sure there are alternatives if needed).

The moto droid turbo 2 implementation was mostly a flat panel with 2.5 edge, Samsung exaggerates the curve for mostly aesthetics and improving ergonomics as it helps narrow the phone.

pffffttt.. how do you even know that it's unbreakable if you didn't even show it's working? I bet there will be dead pixels after a real hammer test.

LOL, hitting it DEAD CENTER isn't a test. The kinetic energy from the hammer, is spread out equally from the center. A REAL test, would be to drop it on the corner, and see how the energy from a corner hit, would spread out. THAT would be a better test.

I 100% guarantee it is not "unbreakable". Another word for unbreakable is indestructible, and it's definitely not

So led.. is classed as a backlit led with a LCD panel...

We need and want... moreThe problem is with that, if you chose an unscratchable material, take HTCs Sapphire U11 Ultra, it's more brittle, thus breaks easier upon dropping. The glass we use nowerdays in in the middle of unbreakable but scratchable plastic and unscratchable and prone-to-breaking sapphire
