Android Pie's gesture based navigation is good but still, the presence of two navigation icons at the bottom wastes valuable screen space.

Google should do away altogether with any navigation icons at the bottom of the screen in Android Quesadilla. Double tap anywhere on the phone screen should bring in recent apps and a 'O' and 'X' software button. Tapping 'O' goes to home screen while tapping 'X' clears all recent apps. Double tap + swipe up anywhere in the phone should go to previous screen (back button). Swipe up anywhere in the HOME screen brings app drawer, Swipe down anywhere in the HOME screen brings down notifications and toggle shortcuts, double finger swipe down brings calculator and double finger swipe up brings contacts. Long press anywhere on the home screen opens camera app, triple tap zooms screen, etc. That way phone screen size will be immaterial as big screens will be easier to navigate with single hand.

I wonder when the Galaxy S8 from 2017 will get Android P. Maybe nine months after Google released it? So next year May, June? Meanwhile the iPhone 5s from 2013 will get iOS 12 on the SAME DAY that Apple will release the update. Funny thing is Samsung's flagships are priced at almost the same level as iPhones nowadays.

Why get rid of the button on the right? Its just an empty space now. An empty space I can easily reach with my finger but its just so empty and useless now.

Recently updated my Google Pixel running android P Beta 4 to latest android Pie 9.0 via OTA update. In android Pie 9.0 features, my favorite is Navigation gestures, Adaptive battery, Display cutout / Notch and Lock down. But i can't found Digital wellbeing feature on my Google Pixel settings. Can you please help me to get one of my favorite android 9 Pie feature?

The back button looks out of place. They could have done left swipe or short press central button instead of back button.
And again this oreo notification mechanics that delete app badges when you remove notification (random press of "clear all" may make a disaster). Why not to make two options: delete notification (and badge) or hide notification (and leave app badge). Still didn't find use of snooze option especially with preset time options.

my 6s was so F**K up that it hardly could last for 1 day meanwhile my htc one M8 could last around 2 day(with similar use on both phones)
which leads me to iphone is good at stand by but really sucks at daily usage!
