may it help to get low light hdr like in p20pro, maybe in sony's hand it will come with better colors in edges or overal. Well I expect the same from huawei soon. No AI colors but real ones, possibly with hdr also in full res., even if intended to use in lower, even if monochrome, full res is stull useful.

Its improvements to the camera hardware itself and processing that also play a big role. A 12MP camera with 1.6µm pixels today performs very differently than it would have 6+ years ago. Image processing in smartphones has come a long way in recent years, and phone makers are doing incredible things with smaller sensors.

It will still lose badly from old one used on Nokia 808 which had 1.4 μm 41MP not to mention variable Zeiss lens & Xenon flash. So it's a 8 MP 2.8 μm back in the 2012 & 12 MP 1.6 μm in the end of 2018. Not really an important at all. Hopefully we will soon get bigger MP sensors soon with decent μm soon thanks to 22nm FD-SOI CMOS and stocked sensors will become more wide spread & cheaper.

The size of the camera on the rear does seem to indicate it's using a different module from the XZ2 or even XZ2P. It's definitely bigger. High probability of it being the newly announced IMX586.

Where was this stubbornness, when they removed the 3.5 mm jack. No wonder Sony smartphones are going down.

In my opinion,sony will give flagship line single len like xz2 and the dual len is for premium line like xz2p. Hope this can be use in xz3.

It is one country, the place they make the phone in. :) You could see Nokias (the real brand not the budget Nokla phones on sale today) everywhere in Finland years after people stopped buying them around the world. You could see Ericsson phones everywhere in Sweden years after people stopped buying them everywhere else. Motorola had a sales hit in the US with their first Android phone despite them not being able to sell it abroad.
See the pattern? Failing brands always have the sentimental home consumers to keep them alive a little longer. People who know people who works or worked at the company. It's just not sustainable for corporations that used to have tens or even hundreds of million buyers world wide.

XZ3 Premium can be the 48MP holder.
As this is due to marketing for its new sensor performance.
XZ3 can have same camera as XZ2 Premium.
XZ3 compact would arrive by the same design as XZ3.

Its wiord aggainst word and as i cant prove mine you dont have proof for yours.
I am telling you from what i see.
And i work here in one of largest companies selling cell phones.
I see Sony phone maybe 10 devices a year.
For Japan its obvious they mostly have Sony like for Chinese having Xiaomi.
