xXENDER FREAKXx, 17 Aug 2018Too "slow", yeah totally. Have u seen what ANDROID PIE have... moreHave you seen what ANDROID OREO did to Xperia XZ Premium dual? Remember that it broke the laser auto focus causing blurry out of focus photos and Sony took their sweet time to fix that.
It's so easy to blame other brands but you forget Sony's mistakes.

AnonD-665723, 17 Aug 2018Sad to see 2017 models like XZs and XA1 Plus not on the list. :(Yeah manufactors should give atleast 2 or 3 year support. Not only 1 year :o! Lucky I didn't buy the XZs, which I almost bought because of the super slomotion camera.

Hmmm... Sony is usally faster than this.
I guess making a pie is a lot of work atfer all.
The Pie OS is plagued with bugs, hence this delay.
Waiting for XZ3.

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2018Too slow for stock android like devices No not really. Roll out will be finished by November and it will start mid September and that includes all carrier's locked crapware versions that have to go through testing. If you've bought unlocked version or if your carrier locked version runs stock Xperia software it will be updated withing a month or two.

So they didn't change anything with their updates since I had the M4 Aqua. Only 1 major update for mid rangers, which are more like upper-mid-range. And XA1 has been completely forgotten about. Sad.

ilkerbartu, 17 Aug 2018I'm not surprised that XZ isn't in that list. Looks like So... moreOf course it won't get Android 9.0, Xperia XZ launched with Android 6.0 after all.

ilkerbartu, 17 Aug 2018I'm not surprised that XZ isn't in that list. Looks like So... moreThe original XZ came with Marshmallow and was updated to Nougat and Oreo. You don't get beyond 2 OS updates on Android.

I'm not surprised that XZ isn't in that list. Looks like Sony abandoned XZ. I owned once however overheating issues and battery draining after 8.0 oreo update made me crazy. Major problem was camera and I had done with shooting max. 10 secs videos in summer. Bought a MI A1, installed GCAM. I just wish that it could record 60fps in 1080p but that's really fine.
