HMD designs the phones in Finland, just like Apple designs the iPhone in Cupertino, CA. Just note that all of that is IRRELEVANT, because the article is referring to networking equipment, not handsets. HMD has nothing to do with Nokia's network division.

China should ban all their manufactured products to be sold to US and watch what happen.............. It'll be really fun watch the reaction and consequences from the US market and their citizens.

I believe Its not about economic war...its about safety and privacy. Mostly all Chines phones has built in spyware at chip level its self so that it can not be detected easily by experts. As an eye wash phone activity data transferred to non-chines alias from where it is routed to China's servers. Many nations has already blocked Chines equipments/phones long back.

Well, is Australia tech even advanced enough to make that 5G network without Huawei or ZTE? I heard LTE network there sucks. Btw, this is purely banning equipment for 5G only not their phones. Its not the same case as US. Dont get that mixed up guys.

They also have... moreWhat are talking about? Huawei and ZTE hold more patents of 5G and are leader of 5G equipment. Do you know the difference between a handheld and backbone equipment? Backbone systems are major income of Huawei and ZTE! Banning Huawei and ZTE, means that Australian have to pay more to Telecom as invest in backbone systems will get much higher. As for security, it is a joke that Chinese enterprise is more risky that western companies. Huawei and ZTE train local people and give more details to them while westerners just keep everything in secret in order to robbery customers.
BTW, Japan has been using Huawei for years. Do you think Japan and China are good friends?

No it didn't. Our current government has been hostile to Huawei for years and blocked them from the NBN roll out (granted that is a mess anyway).
