at the moment HTC is the only one who's giving a unique experience even when using android, they can do whatever they want with 4.0 & t'd still be a killer update

Come one HTC give us a positive answer if Sensation XE will be upgradable to ICS, otherwise I'll consider the Nexus since it rhymes with Lexus :)

it is just sad to read comments on dropping the phone.
it does not matter if the owner drops the phone accidentally or not. what matters is one should take care of the phone and prevent as much as possible accidents. no one is to blame when a phone is dropped except the owner who could have been careless or did not take caution. it's just a bitter goodbye to money well spent.

Just bought an HTC Desire S two months back, loving this phone, what would make it perfect is by it getting Android 4 and Sense 3. Sony Ericsson recently announced that all it's Xperia 2011 lineup of phones will be getting Android 4, then it should mean that the HTC Desire S will be capable of having Andoid 4 on it also since all the phones are single core processors.

[deleted post]Jee, you seem like you are jealous of Samsung Mobiles!
Metal unibody doent mean a thing. Heavier devices suffer greater shock when falling down than light ones.
Taking under consideration that HTC flagships are almost twice the weight of the Samsung ones, which screen is most possible to survive after a fall?
Once again, I am fanboy of noone.

AnonD-27017, 20 Oct 2011What are you talking about? ICS will be available for Nexus... moreYeah, it will be available for Nexus S, since it is Googles official product line. But other than that, we will have to wait and see indeed...

Sales goal on new phones first before upgrade on older phones.
Who would buy the new phones if everyone will just upgrade....

[deleted post]What are you talking about? ICS will be available for Nexus S once Prime released, that means it's for mid range too, then I guess it will be available for GS1 too.. it uses the same chipset as Nexus S.. so as all other phones a year older, or maybe older than that..
We have to wait and see..

From an iPhone user perspective, I would find the whole process frustrating. To me it would be nail-biting, knowing iOS5 was out, then having to hope that my phone brand would do the necessary, and I would only be able to use it months later.
I would probably just go for Nexus if I was an Android user. I want the latest OS, the day it is available, not when (or if) my phone company decides to.

AnonD-10287, 20 Oct 2011Every manufacturer wants to sell its newest devices. Simple... moreThat only works where consumers are not tied in to long term contracts and most are. People who took out 24 months with the Desire HD 6 months ago are effectively on their own for at least the next 12 months. I would find that totally unacceptable.
