What they are doing is discrediting the article. It isn't a flagship because major corners have been cut.
It is basically a budget airline of a phone. You still get to your destination, but the journey and your surroundings isn't as pleasant.
You only need to look at BOM for true flagships to know the $300 is not a viable price point for them.

Hmmm, been using Mi5 for 2 years now, yet I still haven't experienced any major issues so far. And I SPECIALY love google camera on it. GCam + Mi phones for the win!!!

It has latest chipset, a massive battery, stereo speakers, and a nice screen (Its not among the best ones but its not bad!) I mean tell me any alternative with better specs and in same price range

Except Xiaomi did not make that profit by selling smartphones. They made that profit by online services. They put ads on their devices. I agree with you about Amazon though.
Look the thing i'm trying to say that Xiaomi is currently an exception. They are not trying to make money by selling smartphones instead they are selling cheap devices so that people would use their services and that's where the money is.
No brand currently can have this business model. Every other enthusiast brand including OnePlus will jack their prices if they became as big as Samsung/Apple. They won't be able to cope with the expenses. Every other brand out there makes money by selling their hardware, except Apple(they are greedy anyway so lets not talk about them).

In just 3-4 years xiaomi improved a lot in mobile line up. Bravery and innovative steps. Good to see at top of the world. I mean universe. I love you.

Cheap only in certain countries such as China $ 300, but in other countries can rise to tens or even hundreds of dollars. This should be considered

If you cut corners, then $300 is enough. No dust/water protection, lots of plastic, no Netflix or other streaming tech certification, unrefined and copied UI, subpar build quality and tons of issues within 1 year. All the issues mentioned before is the reason it costs less.
