most of the people here commenting that iphone users buys just for the sake of being classy or rich are dumb or just being a hater. LOL iphone users dont think that way. we buy iphone not because were rich or just for fashioned we buy iphone because we know it has good customer support..

But, Huawei doing great job, and thats why thes shipped more smartphones in 2018, until now, than Apple, especially in marketing (i wrote somewhere that Huawei invest in marketing 10 bilions of dollars, same as Apple, and viola they are 2th world wide, and number one in China because of cheaper, but still good Honor smartphones

(I assume you want to stick with Apple, you're probably part of their ecosystem. If not, there are some great Android options as well.)

Look, I am not an Apple fanboy but also I am not a blind hater, you spend money that's yours on things that will be yours, better spend on what you know is best for you than to spend on something you think you'll like based on other people's prefrences.

Most of the flagship Android smartphones, from 2017 was cost the same, or similar, like iPhone(s) from same year. S9 +, P20 Pro, V30s etc, But, at least Apple have high price, almost after one year, because of.. Who knows, maybe because thats the only 19:9 iPhone, take it or leave it :D

But now I get it, you were saying the phone we will never have an actual upgrade and it will be a merely difference than their predecessors.
So I apologise about my behaiver if it disturbed you.
And your right how analyst jump from 80M to 350M sales in one year. It's as I said, they work for apple meaning Apple paid them to do that so they encourage the people to buy the phone which I doubt it will be bought, only the the LCD version could see a hit, hence why they're still using the LCD instead of previous reports Apple will go onto the OLED of their lineup.
The market became tough and getting tougher every second goes by.
Nokia came back last year and succeeded with a huge it and their second year (which is 2018) they become in the 10th spot and year isn't finished, so it's a matter of time before Nokia comes in the 5th or the 4th spot and let's not forget that Huawei said by next year they will dethrone Apple from the second spot at all and that will take time but Huawei will eventually will do that.

if the "budget" phone really a budget, then i believe apple will create a phone tsunami sale across the globe. I really do love iphone but the price is killing me, slowly...

I think I going to stop using iPhone after so many year nothing much has been change. I really need a dual Sim, and quick charge. I don’t want to hang with the wired so Long. And bloody hell iPhone X data signal recipient is so poor compare to Samsung 🤦🏻♂️. Now I got to take out the cover when using iPhone in the tunnel. I Spend sgd $1888 on iPhone X. While my Wife s9plus cost $960 have better performance. Bye Apple. I go eat durian better!

My job as insurance agent, I would prefer a phone that keep my client information safer rather than freedom (maybe I don't need these freedom). that is also why most of finance company chose iOS as their main working device.
FYI, we were forced to use iOS to do our submission instead of android device.
I mean, like your previous reply, everyone has their own preference. you may need the storage access, but for me, I found no reason to access my storage when my documents, photo and etc are all organized in the app. Personally, I don't trust external storage especially sd card, i suffered a lot back then when my sd card spoiled and all my documents gone for no where.
I really like the way to use the iTunes btw. compare to years ago, iTunes improved a lot that everything is work wireless. seriously, I already forgot since when the last time I connect my iPhone to iTunes.

As the iPhone X costs more than 1500 usd most of the people can't buy and you just wanted to prove that you can buy. But i totally agree with your last words. If people would check value for money or be more logical, Apple would go bankrupt.

I believe in the ide... morethere are always pros and cons for being far opener. if it was more open, then more prone to malware and hacks and viruses, less security. I can imagine app store being ruined with so much malware. right now only way for hackers to steal ur data on an iphone or any other device is to send scam emails pretending to be from bank as an example and they ask users to enter their details and steal them. its annoying but with experience its easier to know a fake email from a genuine one. some people care about customisation others don't. at least now we can do more than a few years ago and change different keyboards as an example.
oh I do work in a phone shop so I know perfectly pros and cons of all OSes and both android and ios have good and bad. there will never be a perfect os which ticks all boxes for every single user so I happily accept what is available and it does the important stuff which is all I ask for
