I disagree to the fact that there are losers. Obviously no one's a loser. After all, it's a win-win to everyone, since we have manufacturers who will make products for us, and we, customers, are going to support them to provide better products and push their limits beyond imagination.
Everything at IFA 2018 is a complete winner. And not only at IFA but at every other events as well.
So in short, the 'losers' aren't losers, they're just second best, third best, fourth best, and so on.

I am no fanboy of any smartphone manufacturer, I always buy best phone I can get for my money. But I do not understand why are reviewers biased to Sony. Screen is all they changed? Phone is slimmer, got big oled screen (people asked for it), also screen is curved, it got new selfie camera and louder speakers. If that is not enough upgrades (and may I say in 6 months) by yours criteria, then neither sony or any other brand do not update they phones. And I just want also to ask, what is with people and RAM obsession? I've watched hundred of speed tests and sony ALWAYS was fastest phone there is no matter the ammount of RAM. And that being said, fastest and slowest flagship phones are in 99% of the time in the 1 sec difference. All flagship phones are stupendously fast.

Honestly, aside from the XZ3, there wasn't anything worthy of attention this IFA. All the desirable phones of 2018 are yet to be announced & released.
