You mean you want me to waste wifi /data just to transfer files from phone to PC and vice versa? Do you even know how slow, tedious and limited it is in terms of speed and what files you can transfer to and from iPhone to PC and vice versa? It's not much different to emailing files that need to be transferred from PC to iPhone! You call that file management?

Anonymous, 13 Sep 2018You buy a Ferrari because you like the way it feels when yo... moreWrong. 99.99% buy a Ferrari because of the wonderful feeling of prestige of owning one of the most expensive cars in the world that not even the ordinary rich can afford. In short, bragging rights no matter how much you deny it. You can't say the same for iPhones because well, they are phones, not cars or jewelry. Besides, some android phones actually cost more than iphones (well at least, those Android phones can do more than iphones). And no, iphone pricing does not make any sense no matter how much you try to justify or rationalize it. You mean to say, it costs more to make an iphone than to make a 60" LCD tv or a premium i7 Windows touchscreen laptop? Or that an iphone is vastly more lasting, durable and useful than both? Also, I'm sorry you don't use screen sharing. Most iphone users don't because they are ashamed how their iphones need an apple TV accessory and a Wi-Fi network just to share their phone screen to a smart tv which even the cheapest android phone can do without any Wi-Fi or added accessory. l know, it's embarrassing. Your friends with Android phones share their phone videos and phone photos seamlessly and wirelessly to the workplace smart tv or to their home smart tv and here you are, with your iphone and Apple tv accessory asking if it's ok to attach the accessory to the smart tv and if it's ok to connect to the Wi-Fi network before you can even start sharing your iphone screen. Either that, or you refuse to buy the highway robbery priced AppleTV accessory and claim 99.99% don't use screen sharing feature.

Sometimes we ignore iPhones have very high SAR ratings. Essential Phone is nearly 4x less.
So Apple is out to kill your brain and bank account but their Watch can save your heart. Take note that the OnePlus 6 is quite high in SAR. Not as bad as its predecessor but still quite high. Many Chinese brands can be that way. Don't care for your health. No different than their tasty but UNHEALTHY food.
Anything below 0.3 W/kg for the head is quite excellent. While iPhones are generally at 1.2 W/kg.

A $1000++ phone that can't even screen share its screen to modern smart tv's without buying an overpriced apple tv accessory that you have to bring everywhere just so you will not be ashamed to your android friends just how jurassic your iphone is.
A $1000++ phone that doesn't even have decent file management for seamless transfer of personal media files and apps to and from PC and to and from other phones.
I'd rather buy another 60" tv than an overpriced iphone that can't even do the most basic of tasks the cheapest android phones can do.
Baby boomers? They are used to the old Nokia feature phones/dumb phones of yesteryears that's why they are at home with the iPhone's archaic/jurassic operating system!
They don't even know they can watch photos and videos in their smart tvs by just screen sharing their phone screen because well, the dumb phones of the past and even the latest $1000++ iphones can't do it without buying another rip off accessory (apple tv). And even with an Apple tv, you'd still need a WIFI network/hotspot generator to screen share an iphone screen! How jurassic!

Anonymous, 13 Sep 2018Actually the reason why anyone would choose a Ferrari over ... moreYou buy a Ferrari because you like the way it feels when you drive it. It doesn't have to be comfortable for getting on to busy streets and sitting in traffic. It's just a marvelous piece of refined and overly-engineered vehicle. That's all.
Of course, some buy it for bragging rights, but then again they are rich and can afford it and afford to do maintenance on it, pay for insurance, consumables, etc.
Once you think about how that $1000 would have been better spent on more products (cheaper phone + 55" TV + etc.) all you are doing is trying to get more bang for your buck. Something more cost efficient. Which you wouldn't think of if you would actually be able to afford said product and not worry about it even if you have to break it and buy a new one every month or every few days/weeks.
P.S.
Screen mirroring on TVs is something 99% of people don't use.
File manager? Transfer files? Just Airdrop everything wirelessly onto your laptop or tablet. Easy!

Anonymous, 13 Sep 2018Ferrari/Lamborghini cars are ripoffs as well. Their top spe... moreActually the reason why anyone would choose a Ferrari over a Toyota is because of personal image and prestige: bragging rights. Nothing to do with the utility of the car or its speed, power and comfort as a mode of transportation in city traffic. (Actually, the Toyota may be more comfortable to use in heavy city traffic with bad roads and flooded streets than the Ferrari.) As for the iphone, it's actually used as a phone rather than as a jewelry. Any claim therefore to iphones being like Ferraris in terms of bragging rights/bragging effectiveness is wrong. Better to buy a Swiss mechanical watch or some fine jewelry if the main goal is to brag or better yet, save the cash intended for the iphone, and purchase instead a 50" 4K UHD tv. It makes 100x more sense, serves more function, provides more enjoyment for the whole family, and lasts 10 times longer than the overhyped, overpriced, new iphone models that have nothing significant new to offer other than a dual sim/e-sim and an outrageous higher asking price for some archaic smartphone that can't even screen share to smart tv's and share files seamlessly to and from PC.

I don't know if you are really able to afford the aforementioned stuff you brag about but if I am gonna spend money i want my money to be properly spent. I want full service out of the product. Either be it a $1 product or $100K product. And enough bullshit with your own definition of affordability.

PPL who buy iphone what something userfriendly and reliable that is gonna last more than a 24month contract. They also want more privacy and security for sensitive data. I tried both sides several times and I always got back to an iphone.

Anonymous, 13 Sep 2018still a rip off ....Ferrari/Lamborghini cars are ripoffs as well. Their top speeds, racetrack timings, horsepower, etc. can be achieved or even surpassed by more affordable cars with performance parts and tuning - at a much lower price point.
What would a rich person buy: a tuned up Toyota or a nice Ferrari?
Even though the Toyota can get a higher top speed, higher acceleration, better race track timings, the Ferrari has ferromagnetic suspension, carbon fibre everything, specially designed parts, all in a beautiful exterior body work and beautiful interior. Whereas the Toyota is just a car with suped up parts and better specs, at a fraction of the price of the Ferrari.
I would still buy the Ferrari each time. Or I would buy both the Ferrari and the Toyota because I can afford them all.

That people like you buy iphones primarily to brag and belittle others while actually suffering in silence due to the limited, restrictive and archaic system that is the iOS. Since the iPhone 6s discontinued. Apple does not include USB type c to 3.5mm adapter. Now you have to buy it too.
Still 5W charger, Damn! Now more money needs to pay for the fast charger.
People say Apple is greedy but I would say they are smart. They priced the phone $1099 with no 3.5mm adapter included and no fast charger, still 5W included. After all that they can sell the phone pretty easily. If people are that dumb that they can buy the $1099 phone and can spend a few more dollars for the accessories then why wouldn't Apple take advantage of that. If the name Apple is enough for people and Apple can sell phones at whatever price they think then it is smartness.
