The Phone should have been ideal for many if it had a Headphone Jack... And if its an IP Certified...
Otherwise the Phone looks beautiful... (IP Rating yet to be confirmed, R17 Pro doesn't have it so this will not too but still.)
I bet the 6T will Launch at the same price as OnePlus 6... As they knows where they stands today amid of POCO and Asus, even LG is not far behind...

I had anticipated this...
Well the first impression is, its as same as OnePlus 6 with a shorter Notch... Everything looks same though...
- It's a copy of R17 Pro and not the regular R17...
- It's not a Metal Version, it is a Matt Black Coloring as same as OnePlus 6...

It's fail because now it's expensive and copycat simple, I'd rather prefer Samsung over this copycat

No microSD card slot. No 3.5 mm jack. OnePlus settled for being an Apple follower.

nik.007, 02 Oct 2018Seeing that you didn't get what my point was.
My point was... moreThis is just a repackaged Oppo product given a different name. The source product does not have headphone jack.
Gotta have ways to emulate the courageous dongle and peripherals company.

Anonymous, 02 Oct 2018why? look at the price perhaps? and not everybody needs the... moreSeeing that you didn't get what my point was.
My point was that Samsung has more/bigger physical parts crammed in their phone, but still have space for a 3.5 mm jack, along with IP68, whereas OP here has less/smaller stuff inside the device, still they apparantly have no space for hf jack. How can you not see the ridiculousness of this?
This is not about price, because hf jack has been in every cheaper priced OP device before.
Even Pocophone F1, has a bigger battery, IR based face recognition hardware, micro sd slot and still has hf jack. These brands are simply lazy as they see that devices without the jack are still selling, so why put that extra effort in digging that small hole in the device.

Unsolved Mistry, 02 Oct 2018I'm a bit bummed by the lack of 3.5mm, even smaller choice ... moreWho are you? An expert in phone design?
Do you know the difference between reality and concept? It's not as easy as you think.
And opinion from single person does not matter. Try again later.

It's time they change their "Never Settle" tag to "We have settled for copying Apple".
No 3.5 mm jack. No microSD card slot.
Poco > OnePlus

I'm a bit bummed by the lack of 3.5mm, even smaller choice of flagships offering it now but I can deal with the dongle life (wireless is still meh).
But that design is hideous, the chin looks huge and those curved corners look hideous, the radius of the curve on the screen in relation to the bottom bezel looks disgusting, it's as if they've drawn concentric circles free hand. OnePlus needs to listen to the focus groups and make original designs, I thought at least hey could have reduced the chin from the oppo device but nope. Shame really, the only phones with nice designs are Samsung and Sony, other manufacturers have a notch, sketchy curved displays like the pocofone or features that are issues like htcs silly buttons or lack thereof.
Sony release an xz3 premium with a bigger battery and 6gb ram, dual camera then you can have my money!

I hope some important features such as waterproof and dustproof and also wireless charging are present on this latest Oneplus device, because that will be very important in competing with other flagship and yeah please do not remove JACK AUDIO 3.5m.

"The images reveal there will be at least two color options - Mirror Black with a glass back panel and Midnight Black with a metal back"
Won't be a metal back, but rather a matte glass back. So that wouldn't rule out wireless charging (and leaks are suggesting the 6T will indeed support it).

Anonymous, 02 Oct 2018think God it has a metal version OP understand US :')Sorry to disappoint you, but the midnight black "metal" version is actually also glass. GSMarena forgot that that OP6 also had the midnight black version and it looks like it is metal, but is actually glass.

Whackcar, 02 Oct 2018Sorry to burst your bubble, but phones are not meant to be ... moreWell, having it rinsed under tap water and wash it off with the towel that is hanging there already is much more comfortable and probably more thorough.
But I do know that water damage is not covered by the warranty, unfortuantely. I'm not sure, but years ago it was, I think. But I guess it's too difficult to tell if the customer really didn't exposed it under harder water conditions or not. Understandable from companies' view, but sad for customers who like clean phones.
Another nice example I have: I used my Xperia Z2 Tablet as my music player under the shower. For more than two years. It's still living and working. I guess thanks to its IP55 and IP58 certification (IPx8 doesn't include IPx5 automatically btw).
I guess all electronical devices are not supposed to be washed with water. But it's handy, hygienic AND nowadays doable. My two examples (SGS7 & XZ2 Tablet) prove it. So why not including this nice-to-have-feature.
