The radius of the round corners looks ugly, I don't understand why people love round corners over rectangular displays.

Even IP certified phones aren't meant to be cleaned that way. In case you don't know, phone companies don't offer any warranty on water damage on these phones.
It you must use water for cleaning, then use a wet cloth to wipe it, then use a dry cloth to dry it off. Don't run it under water, unless you don't mind it suddenly dying one day.

If you want to compete with flagships like S9 ,pixels then oneplus has to release a variant with QHD screen. Instead of releasing a 'T' version in 6 months , release a variant with QHD screen and IP rating along with the FHD ones.
Else you are just competing with the Samsung's A series and not with S series or Pixels Or V series.

OnePlus is going the wrong direction. They are removing essential features and adding unnecessary ones in their place.
The way i see it, OnePlus 6 is better than the 6T. The 6T is the beginning of the end.

AnonD-731363, 02 Oct 2018Man acidental water damage is for clumsy people.
Rest don... moreGuess what. When I used SGS7, I rinsed it every other day under tap water. It is still working fine. No issues, afaik.
My replacement unit of a iPhone X (IP67 - most unreliable phone I ever had) on the other hand blacked out once when I rinsed it - never had a problem with my first unit though.
So yes, I care about IP68. Not only for smaller accidents, but because of hygiene. I think people nowadays know what's the dirtiest everyday object: Your smartphone

I hoped that OP will improve battery life, keep a 3,5mm headphone jack and also improve camera quality at low light conditions. I owned OP6 and switch for a Huawei P20 Pro and my plan was to buy OP6T. But after all the leaks and announcements seems that I must find another solution for my next phone.

Very notable that the R17 has a 3.5mm jack.......

That's because Samsung has it's own R&D, and Note9 is $1000 compared to $550. So in a $450 difference, they have to include it obviously. They charge extra for R&D. Whereas OnePlus and OPPO share R&D as this article says, so whatever OPPO does, Oneplus follows (apart from a few things).

All these brands removing the jack, please answer, why can the Note9 still pack a 4k mah battery, one of the best camera modules, a very high STB ratio, an extra Iris scanner, stereo speakers, an S PEN FOR GOD'S SAKE!, still have IP68, and still keep the headphone jack!!!! Really sad, ridiculous, and then they dare provide justifications for it. All these brands are so so shameless.
This OP6T will have almost equal STB ratio (or maybe less), less battery, poorer screen, no second speaker or any face scanning hardware, no IP68, and NO S PEN, and still they don't have space for the jack. That's real sad.

They became just another chinese company that makes phones. Nothing extraordinary with them anymore. Too bad really, when they were pushing their own design and hardware setup for affordable price it was a good story. Now they are just became slaves of trends dicating by Apple. No more 3.5 mm ... and last year their slogan was NEVER to get rid of 3.5 mm ... pathetic
