Its actually great price considering what specs its supposed to have, just compare to others priced even at 999. Fingerprint reader and that camera are reason enough, add own processor, charging and so on.

Huawei's biggest draw was flagship specs for a fraction of the cost.
If these are the prices, I'll be looking elsewhere.

I think p20 pro is over $800 which is not best for the price. Just a camera is winner, And I know this is also a classy cellphone Because of the Top chipset.

But pricing depends on various countries. I take that this Switzerland is higher price than other place.
For example, in my country, P20 Pro launch price is $800 & vanilla P20 at $650. Other place the pro version last time even got near $1000 of pricing. Hopefully the pricing sticks with the new Mate 20 as P20 series phones are now a lot cheaper than launch.

It’s a lot of money to ask for a Huawei. They are forcing themselves to the premium sector but in a very aggressive way.
I may be a brand snob but I would prefer to buy a Galaxy or an iPhone instead. Support, brand image, accessories, resale value.
Maybe in a few years, after they have proved themselves I may consider buying a Huawei.

So they introduce a new chipset that's almost or about as fast as the A12, lots of ram, the best camera in the industry, great display and all the features of a flagship phone...but apparently it's not worth its price because it's Huawei?

Very reasonable pricing for the first Android phone with 7nm CPU and probably the best camera available on a phone.
