Samsung said to remove the 3.5mm jack from the Note10 and Galaxy S11

To the troll-headed proponents of wireless audio, the presence of 3.5mm jack in no way interferes with listening to audio-over-wireless. And as long as the phone has external speakers, it has a DAC and might bloody well have 3.5mm jack.
I don't care if it was 5yrs old or 500 yrs old, the 3.55mm jack is one of the most useful, functional and universal ports for me. Sadly, people have forgotten to vote with wallets and are instead influenced by paid trolls these days....

Whackcar, 10 Oct 2018I've read of some of the comments below, and i noticed that... moreNo, thanks, this is another ridiculous and unacceptable option with no charging while listening and also hooking up headphones to the usb port is quite dangerous and it's a matter of time before you break it.

I think Samsung is just trying to fit in because most of the smartphone flagships these days don't have 3.5mm jack anymore.

Hopefully not true, since S9 series was also rumored to not bring the jack around this time, yet they can with it. This is why they should either make the phones slightly thicker, or increase software optimization.

I've read of some of the comments below, and i noticed that they all talk as if the only options are to either use 3.5mm headphones or wireless (bluetooth) ones.
Well, i would like to remind you that USB-C headphones exist, and they're awesome. They're actually better than 3.5mm ones, as they can have their own DACs built-in them, so if you buy high-quality USB-C headphones, you get high-quality sound. No need to charge them, and no other issues either.
I've been using USB-C headphones since over 2 years now, and I would never go back to 3.5mm ones ever. Maybe you guys should move on too.

Di*k moves like this push Samsung revenues down even WORSE than Galaxy S9. We Android Truthers / Users will stand up to the fight against anti-jack BS and UNLEASH our WRATH.

there are just too many cons for audiophiles like myself, let me explain:
- BT headsets don't habe enough place to put some serious audio dacs and amps into
- battery life is something to remember at all times
- at this point only LDAC from sony can send cd quality sound to your headphones via BT
- LDAV headphones are really rare to find and most of them are too overpriced for what you actually get
- most of the Bluetooth headsets and headphones have their battery built in so it will die on you at approximately 16 months
at the end of the day the OEMs lie straight to your face, LG does produce very good phones with big batteries and still manages to put a quality sabre quad dac and amp into the phone along of course the headphone jack. So sick of this bullshit

Anonymous, 10 Oct 2018I think removable batteries existed since only a few years ... moreI referred to the headphone jack. ^^;
the headphone jack was invented in the 1877 in a rather sizable 6.45mm audio plug... and only in the 1950s it shrunk to the 3.5mm we know. so yeah... 2018-1877 means it's about 140 years old.
