Why does everybody copy crap ideas from apple. The 3.5mm jack socket is brilliant and should remain for 5 more years at least

Despite what researchers say, I am confident that constant exposure to Bluetooth has negative impact on your health. It is an additional hazard to the already dangerous levels of radiation that come out of smartphones.
Besides, I listen to FLAC on my phones. Wired is the way to go; bluetooth loses too much quality.

I think it has got to do with the fact that the AKG headphones that samsung ships are expensive. So they probably want to save money with no headphones in the box and just the dongle. I would hate that and consumers should vote with their wallets.

They mostly come from the companies themselves who are testing the waters (No idea why when they really don't care and always do what they've already decided regardless of people's opinions).

Removing Jack is the only way forward. Same as IR blasters, FM radios, removable batts.

it will aid in icon x sales.

Sure there will be anger and critics, remember the fm radio lovers or the removable batt dealbreakers just a few years back?

but that will not change their minds. in the future people will forget it and move on.

I don't understand why there aren't more usb-c wired headphones as a compromise. It seems to be usb-c to 3.5mm adapters that are used which are fiddly. If the industry properly embraced wired headphones with a usb-c rather than an adapter it would be more acceptable to the average consumer but there is a halfway house that people don't like and this isn't solving the issue of wanting to listen to music whilst your phone is charging.

Anonymous, 10 Oct 2018How it is okay to remove the jack, from a logical POV?? Unl... moreWell it's just my personal opinion, i enjoy wireless audio, on my phone i just listening 360kbps audio through Spotify. By the way since Oreo every Samsung flagship supports LDAC, yes this feature is not comparable with wired headphone but if you just listening mp3 files, it's more than enough.

It lags too much for me. and I need the excellent preformance of the flagship chipset. It helps me to create excellent OSTs, have good gaming sessions. (and no. It's not the match 3 stuff or others. It's real RPGs, Moba, Racing. of the highest quality.)
I MEAN... sure.. the SD660 and 710 are plenty powerful. and do not have all that lagging as it had in the early days of android (Anyone remembers these?) and so on. but I am a power user. ANYTHING below the best possible will not satisfy me.

Samsung caving in to Apple's "innovation". Fortunately, there are still a lot of high-midrange phones with a 3.5mm

Guys it's still a rumor. Act like a sense adult and take this with a sea of salt. I think this might be untrue or simply speculation. Remember the AMD/NVIDIA GPU rumor? That was untrue.

Wait, what? The sales are low and there's "pressure to remove the jack" which would help sales? What kind of ridiculous statement is this?

Get the S10 so you won't get affected.

                                2. Lower the price a bit.
                                3. add crazy BOGO or crazy packs of goodies.
                                4. shorten the times to wait for updates.
                                done~

I don't understand , what has headphone jack to do with Bluetooth ? !

It is not like the jack obstructs manufacturers from using Bluetooth. We can have a choice. We can have both !! Bluetooth when you want to go wireless , 3.5mm jack when you want to go wired.

If the presence of 3.5mm jack is affecting the sale of BT headphones in an adverse way then it just mean that the jack is still the preferred medium to listen to music !!

To be honest, if you don't need to share your headphones but use them for your own most of the time
                                    1. attach a dongle to your 3.5mm headphones and use the USB C port or
                                    2. buy 3.5mm headphones and use the USB C port

jack, it is imminent. As it turns out, it'll be sooner rather than later...

These "No 3.5mm jack, no buy" people will finally shut up next year.
