So, they again knocked-off both Samsung and Apple in a single phone.
Their chipset is fastes... wait a second - it's not. They claimed to match the A12 chipset from Apple, yet they only came near A11 (if we stretch it). But maybe some playing with benchmarks will do it's part.
And curved screen will probably make already fragile Huawei phones - even more fragile. And don't forget that it's a bit harder to protect curved screen aswell.
Finally that thing on it's back looks hideous...

$1200 for a base phone model?
Proprietary memory card?
Avoid like the plague!
Huawei is becoming greedy like Apple. Huawei thinks that $1000++ phones are worth their price and proprietary limitations. When it's time to upgrade, you'll upgrade to another Huawei phone because you still that have expensive proprietary Huawei memory card which you can reuse.
How clever! What's next Huawei? proprietary chargers and connectors? False claims of better than dSLR photo/image quality?
AVOID at all costs! Better yet, avoid all phones (including iphones) copying the iphone's exorbitant pricing / prestige pricing strategy strategy and copying the iphone's 'proprietary' approach to everything - connectors, chargers, etc.

Good luck with those prices. Huawei is also known as Wahlauwei in Malaysia and Singapore which translated to what the hell.
Its like Toyota trying to sell their cars at Mercedes prices. No matter how good the specs are, the brand value cannot attract or justify such high prices

Is it industry standard? Nope. I will give it a miss. It will be more expensive then a standard microsd card.
