Android 9 Pie comes to Sony Xperia XZ1 on October 26

I have a sony xperia XZ1 & i got a message to update my OS to android 9.0. but i always downloading it and stop in middle. and it's says pending network. but my network connection is good. what can i do for this?

I just bought xz1 it's a Japanese variant model 701SO
Its already on oreo and the guy told me it upgrades to 9.0 pie but I am having a different issue which says "This service is unavailable because cannot read USIM card. Please help I want to upgrade to 9.0

I have Sony XZs with the Android 7 Nougat and lately was upgraded to Android 8 Oreo. This Phone was released 2Q of 2017 if I'm not mistaken. I would suggest this phone must upgrade to Android 9 Pie. As this is considered as expensive phone and part of the XZ series. Are we receiving the Android 9 Upgrade or not? Thanks Sony!!!

The Xperia XZ, which was released in 2016 used the SD820 processor and launched with android 6, that was upgradable to android 8. Although the Xperia XZs was released in 2017 with android 7, it was using the same SD820 processor as the XZ, and as you know is a 2016 processor. It is understandable why the XZs won't be getting the android 9 update.

I am user of Xperia Z5 Premium & it is running Android 7.1.1 from 2017. But till date there is no official updates for Xperia Z5 series as they are comes under premium phones in Sony.

Hatred, dictate, etc. are too strong words my friend and all the long paragraphs to defend a viewpoint for single comments only shows that we are not ready for discussion. Where did I strongly defend, dictate or spread hatred that you are trying to imply?
I have used Sony Xperia line from a long time and it hurts to see them just like this - an alternative!
There was a time others usee to look up to them. Not anymore. Competitor offer more out of the box but YES that may be too overwhelming for some. Updates like these may not be too relevant unless they sprinkle some of their own goodness.
