Galaxy Note 9 is receiving Android Pie update around the same time as the mid range XA2 series lol

Speaking of features, what do they call the 3D creator app, Smart Battery Care, Smart Cleaner, BRAVIA Triluminos screen adjustments, ClearAudio+, DSEE HX, STAMINA Mode, Video Enhancement, S-Force Front Surround, LDAC, etc.?? They're not features?

They may not be features, but at least they work as they should be, and they don't affect the usability of the phone since they don't require a button specially made to trigger them *ehem Bixby*

Marko97sx, 18 Oct 2018Amazing support from Sony. Too bad Samsung fanboys are jeal... moreTechnically, if you've been using a Samsung phone for the past few years, you get it at the same time as usual, 6 months after the launch of the new version. So I don't think they'll be too jealous

Dilmeet, 18 Oct 2018Great! So it means you don't find or use the features worth... moreYou completely missed the "I's" in his comment.

[deleted post]Really. Well the competitor's nougut has features becaise there will be no pie. Choose your side.

XZ1 compact was a great phone. It had great battery life and the 3.5 mm headphone jack too, unlike the XZ2 and the XZ3.

[deleted post]I rather choose featureless than complicated features.

Dilmeet, 18 Oct 2018Great! So it means you don't find or use the features worth... moreI am not saying "Samsung is bad, because of late updates". Did I say that? I find Sony's approach better for me, so I choose them. I do not discourage people from buying Samsung. Why do you make deductions from my perfectly fine "opinion"? The guy vomits all over Sony's approach, makes them look bad, and what he's doing is ok, but my opinion of "having variety and options in the market" is somehow bad? Why are the likes of you and that Anonymous user always dictate the way "it should be"? Just ignore Sony if you don't like them. I like it pure and stock, so I buy. If you like Samsung/Huawei's approach, go buy them. You do not see me going under their posts and spreading hate there, do you?

Awaiting to get it on my xz premium, for a 2017 phone that's good support!

[deleted post]Well stock android has advantages of being the most up-to-date but comes with the rider of less features out of the box. Sony was doing well but now just an alternative to Pixel which I personally don't like as this company was all about innovation! Now just a follower of so called trends.

Marko97sx, 18 Oct 2018Amazing support from Sony. Too bad Samsung fanboys are jeal... moreThat's another way of saying that you like barebones software with no or less features that can be complimented by 3rd party apps but won't like or envy the idea of having them baked into the OS. Plus applauding when they do get baked into stock OS. Yeah, right.

guv94, 18 Oct 2018I'd rather have it close to pure Android, fast and frequent... moreGreat! So it means you don't find or use the features worth it so no one should? Makes sense God

And the debate for stock android vs custom skin overlay continues. No one is ready to accept that both are different so no point wasting time.

Good job Sony but time to add some useful features into your UI. Stock Android fast updates is great but how to differentiate and make your product more appealing in terms of the software?

[deleted post]I'd rather have it close to pure Android, fast and frequently updated rather than having to bear months of wait due to lots of "features" being added to the OS which I barely use...

Amazing support from Sony. Too bad Samsung fanboys are jealous that they don't have it yer.
