Sorry, I don't want a black dot in my display. If Samsung do this on the next Note, I'm out.
I want my screen clear of any distractions. And a selfie camera on a £1000 phone is just silly, only narcissists and effeminate Instagrammers use them. I have had all Notes and only used the front camera about 3 times for fun with my niece, nephew etc, but not really vital and now with the Bluetooth S-Pen can use the proper rear camera.
BTW, AT&T patented a display with camera sensors built into the displays pixels decades ago, and I think Apple have filed one more recently. Effectively, there are light sensitive photo diodes between the display pixels. Many privacy issues with that of course, no way to cover the camera! Which begs the question, how do we know this tech is not already built into our phones and we're being spied upon? ;)

I don't care who will do it first, as long as it becomes viable AND reliable. It'd be so cool to have this in the note10. Please make it so!

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2018Yea. Last year's bezels were so innovative. Let us be fr... moreSamsung late in bezelless race? Samsungs always had smaller bezels than iPhones, except X. Phones with big notches and chins shouldnt be considered as bezelless. Notch is the worst ever thing happened to mobile world, i am happy that there are still a few companies who didnt join the stupid notch bandwagon. Samsung never topped any chart? Check Consumer Reports, DisplayMate and DxOmark and see who is among the top three.

Future foldable phones with in-display camera will screw up all the phones with notches.
