It appears that market analysts correctly predicted strong demand for the iPhone XR.

Then again, unless the xr got something that so major ( feature change or add to it that making the iPhone 8, 8 plus, 7, 7 plus simply doesn't work like that or have any solution to it). Otherwise I really don't see the point.

Once again, I did not say "don't buy a iPhone" cause if that's really your liking of a Mobile OS ( good for you, go for it). But, if the iPhone 7, 7 plus, 8, 8 plus get the latest OS upgrade and works pretty much 99.999999% the same, and maybe there was anything so new from the xr ( cause most people saying that it is the OS ecosystem that they're after). Then…

Then Why pay 750( or more in other region) to get this so call " affordable" iPhone?

Maybe I'm just not a Apple/iPhone fan, that's just me.

            It would have been the successor of my iPhone 6, were it not for the 859 euro price tag, that is 989 US dollar, so almost 1000 dollar for the most affordable new iPhone. Insane. For the base model. So another much cheaper Android phone will be the successor instead.

                  Look, I didn't say don't buy a iPhone, cause at this point, I would definitely agree to some YouTuber, why not just buy a new iPhone 8 ( plus ) , 7 ( plus) if you like the iOS ecosystem, and you can't buy the X cause Apple took them out so that you would buy the xs or xs max.

                    As I've already mentioned, this so call affordable iPhone with a price tag of 749( and it is even higher in other regions). Isn't actually a " definitely better iPhone phone" !

                    But hey, you are the buyer, it is your choice after all.

It‘s the same range as the iPhone 7 and 6s and 6 and all those were when they were released, just that it‘s much better 2018 Hardware. And Those $ 749 are cheaper than, for example, a Pixel 3 or a Huawei Mate 20, do those non-Plus/Pro phones I mentioned in the last comment, which don‘t have a much higher resolution display.
                      Then I would have to pose the same question to you: Why are you sucking Google‘s/Huaweis/Samsung’s d by buying a $899 Pixel 3 XL/Mate 20 Pro/ $1000 Note 9?
                      Another question: Why should you buy a brand new iPhone 7 instead of a used one which is only $ 300? If you just want the latest OS, why should you pay more than $ 70 for a used iPhone 5s??

It is a proper flagship, if you want to accept it or not. And the 326ppi is not a far cry from the many non-Plus/Pro phones out there with their 6.3 inch 1080p screens. Only if you live with it, you know that it is great. That‘s why I say it‘s great.

                          The prices of Xs and Xs Max makes this a better purchase but still not worth the money. I like iOS but year by year, this is becoming more of a luxury. Let's see how well this strategy serves Apple and their loyal fan base. For people like me who pay all the money upfront, it is now beyond reach sadly.

                            The yellow iPhone reminds me of the good old Nokia lumia days. Nice phones Apple!

                              But iPhone satisfied so many and that's why so many want them and keep buying them when it's time to upgrade.

                                Well, the sell records of this iPhone xr will tell ( if a lot of people buying it and thinking that this is a "budget" phone to begin with!).

                                I mean, you are the buyer and you're encouraging Apple to sell you a overpriced iPhone with they'd called affordable/budget ( whatever ), and so next year, there will be another one like this ( and probably won't have any new change/ add to it). That's the price of a flagship phone in others……….Sure you can say that you're getting the whole ecosystem of iOS etc.

                                But…… you are in a way to paying Apple to suck its D and still calling it good? Seriously?

                                Smartphone are getting better and better (and yes, there are still a lot of complaint coming from people about many things, / cause no phone can truly satisfied everyone) but, paying a large amount of money to raise a phone ?

                                If you really wanted a iPhone ( iOS ecosystem ), then why not get last year's flagship it maybe iPhone 8 , 7 as they're still selling it( brand new).

The XR isn't a bad phone by any means. Aside from the questionable display, it's packing some good hardware all around. I do believe it is overpriced for what it offers, but for any iOS fan, it is a reasonable purchase.

                                      If you do decide to hold up like you said yourself, then next year's S10 is supposed to have a new design altogether, along with some new tech. It is also supposed to be the last Samsung phone with a headphone jack, although that is not confirmed at this point. The P30 series will likely be based on Mate 20 series with it's Kirin 980 SoC, but it will likely have improved cameras among other things.
